Why do you haunt me?
Rooted memories that won’t let go—
Is this my eternal punishment,
For all the seeds I dared to sow?
If only I could relive,
Those fleeting seeds of time,
To nurture what was broken—
Your insecurities and mine.
I was naive to your true nature,
As a rose with hidden thorns,
Guarding your fragile petals—
My boundless love you soon scorned.
I now bear the weight of failure,
With sorrow deeply sown inside,
Though you weren’t ready to be planted,
I believed you'd bloom if I tried.
And so I learned, you can overwater,
The garden of a cherished love—
When too much of a good thing,
Is still not quite enough.
