'Tiana Ninja + Color exp

Yeah, right, like I'll get replies for something in this section. >:

First up, yet another modification to semi-original hot ninja character 'Tiana (like anyone remember who's she's based on anymore).

This one's got a bit of perspective, since it's meant to be 'your' viewpoint after 'Tiana disarmed you (possibly in more ways than one) with a katana and her bladerang.

The title is what she's saying regarding going for your weapon which she's already stepped on. The amused smirk was probably supposed to look more pissed off.

Anyway, enjoy (?), I'm thinking of using this char a bit more, possibly in situations that fit here. ^^

Secondly,

Due to some of my artist 'friends'/peers considering me a mediocre non-artist who's pencil work doesn't count as art and is not worthy enough for inclusion on its own (I apparently need 'outside help' cause I and my stuff sucks), I've started trying to get a move on another experiment, which is the 5th image attached.

I don't give a flying fig if anyone recognizes the pose I put Marina in for this probably 7 years old sketch (pics 3/4). I ripped it off a random anime/toon pic.

Experimenting with trying to get basics, shadows and some minor highlights working.

The colors look nice actually. What program did you use? I've tried doing a little coloring here and there but I need practice... and a decent paint program since MS Paint just doesn't cut the mustard.

And yes I know they're fairly expensive, but that's why I'm glad being an ex-catburglar has given me the ability to sleep well at night regardless of what I've done. 😉

And for Restiana, she looks very nice, especially her cute tootsies, and the concept is cute.

Coloring was done mostly in Photoshop and a side program (Photosuite).
I have a feeling 'Tiana isn't cute enough to catch eyes, apparently.

Great job on the characters Khali. I like them all.

I say you are a full fledged artist who prefers to work in black, grey and white. Your medium of choice is a pencil.

I believe if you choose to add digital media to your repertoire your coloured artwork will be just as good as your lineart shades of grey artwork.

I know about PhotoSuite, I had it on one of my old PCs. Too bad it's so damn expensive along with PhotoShop. Then again, being an ex-catburglar does do things to one's conscience so that if I needed it... well, I think you know the rest.

And I agree with rajee about your work. I think you're a great artist, and you're the reason I was inspired to learn to draw. You don't have to agree with me, I can understand that if you don't.
