Here's a question i would like to post and get some feed back on.

I have had a tickling fetish ever since i was a fetus.
but lately i have been noticing a strange pattern in my tickling.
i liken it to an eating disorder or even a drug addiction in the fact that i will completly binge on tickling for about a week then not be interested in it at all for as long as a month.

during these times i jam my computer to the rafters with absolutly everything i can find on the net about tickling, no matter how many times i may have downloaded it before.
i will run personal ads strictly to find tickling partners, or go to clubs and boldly ask pretty girls if they are ticklish.
(which by the way works to my advantage 9 out of 10 times)
and no matter how much i see do or collect it's never enough!

then for no reason, it stops exciting me.
i'll dump the hard drive and not have ticklish thoughts about women at all.

has anyone els gone through this? if so can you give me some insight into what might be going on?

thanx for your thoughts!

Usedta wish I would. Never have. Oddly, had some damage from strokes 2 and 6 years ago, which temporarily whacked my sex drive (amazing how it clears and focuses you...) and I *still* had the tickling urge all the damned time.

It's different for different folks. Some get "The Purge" (get rid of everything related to this and "give it up" for a while), some go underground to sort things out, some just go underground when they find a lover that'll play. Some of us you just can't get rid of...

Consider yourself fortunate, brother. At least you have off-weeks!

Based on my own experiences with Bulimia and it being a proven fact,
Eating disorders are replacements for something missing in life.

The high that one experiences from drugs, bingeing, purging and restricting (food) is temporary and in the case of the eating disorder, has little to do with food or weight.

Instead, the preoccupation with the food and weight loss becomes so strong that the "real" emotional issues are pushed away and temporarily forgotten about.

Next time you get into this "binge" mode, ask yourself these questions:

1. What is going on in my life that is not feeling right at this moment?
2. How does my preoccupation with tickling serve me at these times?

When the phase is over, has something important in your life changed and how do you regard what you have done while bingeing on the tickling?

I know that for the past couple of weeks, I have been more needy for anything tickling than usual.
I have a lot more free time on my hands due to recently being out of work. Thus, I have much more time to think about it.
My recent tickling experiences have also been INCREDIBLE which gets my imagination going full force. 😀 😉 Thankfully, I have a wonderful and creatively sadistic partner.

I do not ever get to a point that I want nothing to do with the tickling, but I do know that as soon as school starts in late August,
I will be busy again and the desires will become more manageable.

Hope this helps,
Jen

thanx jen, it does give me a bit more insight!
i'll keep an eye on my patterns and see what happens.

sounds hormonal to me

yup thats right, even men get get hormonal.
the thing that makes me think this COULD be your problem is that you stated that this happens on a monthly basis, and lasts for a week.
you could be having hormone surges. you might want to get this checked out. just tell the dr. you are having emotionsl swings, no need to tell it's tickling urges.
i get into phases where i'm more addicted to tickling than normal. it lasts about a week, then i go back to my normal self. so you're not alone.

For me, too, it comes and goes... sometimes I'll go a little while without thinking about tickling... you know, like five minutes...

No, just kidding, it ebbs and flows. Sometimes I don't think about it much for a week or two... but then... woof!

😀
