Well everyone here is the first part of the two part story. If you haven't read the prologue yet, read it to understand the characters "Shrek and Dixie" and the read this story and let me know what you think of it and any suggestions to improve it.
Shrek and Dixie stare at each other for 5 seconds before kissing and getting to work. It’s approximately 10 AM on Monday morning, and the two bounty hunters have just come off a night of wild tickling and sex as they enter the office at their ranch home on the outskirts of San Antonio, Texas. After their morning kiss, Shrek heads for the coffee maker as Dixie checks the answering machine and email for messages, as well as their agenda for the day. Shortly thereafter, Shrek hands Dixie her coffee as the phone begins to ring. Dixie answers the phone with the same message as she has always done, but with a little more pep due to the coffee and the events of the previous night. She recites “Nest Egg Services, how can I help you?” with a slight giggle as Shrek makes a finger squeezing air motion. On the other side of the phone, a very familiar voice makes an outrageously obvious statement: “So you guys did it again last night, didn’t you?” “Hey Tommy, what’s going on”, says Dixie with a wide smile. Thomas “Tommy” Downs is Shrek’s younger brother and the couple’s best friend. He runs a bail service in Boston but in reality, he and Shrek did police and military training together and are both bounty hunters. Unlike Shrek and Dixie though, Tommy prefers the traditional bounty hunting methods to their “ticklish” ones. Tommy tells Dixie and Shrek, as Dixie has put him on speaker phone, about a new bounty that has come in by a bondsman in Jacksonville and to meet the bondsman and himself there. Within 30 minutes of saying goodbye to Tommy, Shrek and Dixie are packed and on a flight to Jacksonville. On arrival in Jacksonville, they rent an SUV and make their way over to a small motel just outside the downtown core where they meet Tommy and bondsman Felix Purcell. After brief introductions, Felix unveils the reason why they have all met. He takes a picture of a relatively young Hispanic girl with long, dark brown hair and blue eyes out of his briefcase, puts it on a whiteboard and begins to recite information from a file.
“This is Silvia Di Riendo and she is 24 years old. She was originally arrested for drug possession, domestic violence and resisting arrest in the state of Louisiana, Lafayette to be exact. Last week, Monday, was her court date to determine the mode of trial but she skipped town and didn’t arrive. The Sheriff’s Office in Lafayette, with approval from state officials, has put up a $20000 bounty to have her returned to Louisiana to be put on trial. I’ve spoken with several of my informants and we believe that she is staying with a couple of her friends who have done drugs in the past and that she has not left the Jacksonville area.
Shrek and Dixie write down the information in their notebooks, noting every detail in the picture in the case that Silvia has changed her appearance. Shrek then asks Felix if there is any other information, pertinent or otherwise, that he has. Felix then tells the two that Silvia does have family here but, after contact with her parents, comes to the understanding that Silvia has not contacted them since she left over 2 years ago, but that Silvia has kept in contact with her younger sister Karen over that same period. Felix had also learned that Silvia was very stubborn to police during questioning and that after 3 hours of questions, the police gave up as Shrek raises his right eyebrow and makes a small grin. After another 20 minutes of questions, Shrek, Dixie and Tommy thank Felix for the information and that they will return with Silvia. Tommy, Shrek and Dixie discuss the situation and agree that in order to find Silvia, they need to talk with the younger sister and convince her that as long as Silvia runs, she will be sought after by the police. The 3 bounty hunters then make their way toward the Di Riendo residence where they meet Carla and Jorge, Silvia’s parents. Upon introducing themselves, they ask to speak to Karen, who arrives from her room shortly after hearing her name. Karen comes to the front door wearing a bikini and shades, her long red hair fluttering in the slight breeze coming through the open front door. Dixie looks at Karen, seemingly worried that Shrek was oogling the young Karen but as she turns her head to look at Shrek, she sees that his eyes are focused on Karen’s words. After a large breath of relief, Dixie joins Shrek and Tommy as they explain the situation to Karen. After pleading with Karen that they want to help her get better, the 3 learn from Karen that Silvia had been attending drug counseling services to break her habit on several occasions but that she stopped a few months ago. Karen then divulges that she is currently staying with her ex-boyfriend, Tony Salucio, and that he lives in a townhouse a few blocks from here. After getting the address, Shrek, Dixie and Tommy make their way to Tony’s place and are surprised to see Tony and a woman matching Silvia’s description perfectly sitting on the front step. As the bounty hunters arrive, both Tony and Silvia make a break for it but are arrested shortly after. After a quick talk, the 3 decide to split Tony and Silvia up, with Silvia traveling with Shrek and Dixie. After a quick phone call to Felix about apprehending Silvia, Shrek states that they will bring Silvia to the local state trooper’s office to be picked up by Louisiana state police in a couple of hours. “Good luck and make her laugh good you guys”, Felix states in a sigh of relief as he hangs up. Shrek then closes his cell phone and then begins to talk with Silvia.
“Do you know why you’re here Silvia? You skipped trial in Lafayette and we’re going to bring you back but we want to know why you skipped town. We want to help you but you need to talk to us about everything.”
“I’M NOT TELLING YOU A GODDAMNED THING YOU PIGS, YOU WON’T GET A WORD OUT OF ME NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!!!!” states Silvia in a rant of rage and confidence. After Shrek and Dixie exchange glances, Dixie tells Silvia that they have ways to make her talk just as she begins to squeeze Silvia’s sides. Silvia jumps in her seat, the seatbelt preventing her from hitting the ceiling of the SUV. With an evil look in her eyes, Dixie stares at Silvia before saying the following:
“Oh so you’re ticklish, are you? Well you might not know us very well but we’re not cops…we’re bounty hunters. You will talk whether you like it or not and what’s great about tickling is that it doesn’t fall under cruel or unusual punishment or torture. Do you think you can hold out against him and me?”
With a look of defiance, Silvia turns the other way, as Dixie begins tickling Silvia’s exposed sides and belly, courtesy of the tank-top Silvia wears. Silvia then starts to giggle under her breath but bucks wildly in her seat. Dixie continues the assault by stroking her manicured fingernails all over Silvia’s sides, belly and lower back. Silvia clamps her mouth in an attempt to keep from laughing but she slips a few times and a laugh manages to make its way out. Dixie then pulls up Silvia’s sandaled feet, removes said sandals and begins moving her nails along the soles and between the toes of Silvia’s recently pedicured, red nail polished feet. By this point, Silvia begins to turn red as her laughter cannot be held in for longer and she bucks much wilder then before. Dixie then begins to focus on the tops of Silvia’s feet and Silvia finally cracks; she laughs hysterically and bucks at her hardest, even hitting Dixie a few times.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA, YOOHOOOUUUUU’LLL NEHEHHEHHEHVER GET ANYYYYYHEHEHEHEHEEEEEEETHING OUT OF MEEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!!!! I WOHOHOHOON’T TAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHALK”
After 15 minutes of tickling, and getting nothing, Dixie looks at Shrek and nods to him. After returning the gesture to Dixie, Shrek, who has been quiet while the air of the SUV was filled with Silvia’s defiant, ticklish laughter begins to talk to Silvia in an evil voice with an evil grin.
“Well Silvia it’s a pity that you didn’t tell us anything when you had the chance because now we’re going to show you what tickling really is.”
Silvia then looks at Shrek’s face and the moment she lays her blue eyes on his face with such an evil expression, her eyes widen with fear and she grits her teeth just as Dixie puts a blindfold over her eyes. Silvia falls under the circumstances where more action was needed, which made Shrek and Dixie exceedingly happy as they have not encountered anyone this defiant in quite a long time. They drive toward an unknown location, leaving Silvia to ponder the future with worry for the two people that have taken her know her weakness: that she is extremely ticklish.
