I'd have to agree with Hal, it's pretty cynical, but there's still a lot of truth in it...
IMO the guy's not dumb and he's read Nietzsche, but that doesn't mean he's 100% right.
I'm sure women everywhere will be happy to hear that 99.99% of them are not bitches. (No more than 40% are bitches most of the time.)

He's right about the rest of you guys being assholes all the time though! (Not me, I'm the .01% exception!)
Darwin's theories on survivability of a species tie in with the ladder concept. A female of any species that is seeking a mate with which to procreate seeks the most successful male she can find. (True for the birds and bees, and true for humans on a
biological level.) From that point of view, money and power would indicate high levels of success, and would definitely be seen as a plus.
And I suppose if a person of either sex does not find another person attractive, they don't get a chance to demonstrate their deeper qualities to an open-mind. (The first impression has been made, some labels have been applied, and all other input comes in tainted by the observer's already formed opinion.)
BUT... opinions change! Heck, who hasn't heard (or uttered) the phrase, "a woman has a right to change her mind"? And here's a flash, guys change their minds too! (Guys opinions of physical attractiveness can be changed by a woman as easily as getting a new hairstyle, or a pedicure!)
In my opinion that's the thing this guy failed to take into account. He
greatly over-estimates what it takes to change an opinion. Once the rating of attraction changes the viewer sees the other person from a different point of view, and the same characteristics that were given a low rating before, may be rated much higher.
