Okay, I just posted my Lego Mindstorms tickling machine (hmm..since it travels mostly around the stomach, maybe I should name it...the belly dancer? lmao!)
pics at Tickle Theater...hopefully the pics will be able to be posted here, too.

Not to mention, if any of you get the parts or whole kit, well....lemme show ya how to build one merciless tickle bot! lol

Okay, first..the parts, shown in order:

1. The Brick , as Lego calls it...it's the bot's power source and "brains"
2. The motor. Needed to spin the ticklin part of the machine
3. The axel...I chose one of the longest ones, but a short one from the kit might work, too
4. The gears. Gotta have the gears, since that's the part that tickles and travels along the body
5. The cord...transfers data/power from the Brick to the motor

How to build the bot!

Pics included, of course.

1. Okay, first, get the motor and one of the gears. See the cross-shaped holes in the gear? Use it to put the gear on the spinnin part of the motor.

2. Put the axel in one of the gears other cross-shaped holes

3. Slide another gear (or two, as I did) onto the axel

4. Attach the cord to the Brick and motor. The plug on the Brick must be facing either right or left..(it won't work if not)...facing it right makes the motor spin in one direction, while facing it left does the opposite. Dunno why..just the way they made their stuff.

5. Hang the motor part above your 'lee at the desired height, position above body and angle. Turn on the power, hit "program" to select your fave one , then press "run".

6. Either tickle somewhere that the robot isn't workin on...or sit back and enjoy the show. ;-)

Note: Ignore that lil blue peice shown in the last pic...that was from when I first built the bot...it's not needed to make the bot work. It's only useful for attaching the axel to a gear via one of the CIRCLE-shaped holes. Oh and ignore the lil gray thing on the axle, too in the last.....just left it on there cause I was too lazy to take it off before that pic lol It's not needed for the 'bot, either

Yeah, or like I mentioned in the ticklin discussion thread, maybe it'd be cheaper to just buy the accessories , instead of the WHOLE kit ....unless maybe there's a smaller version of the kit that costs less than around $200 (just cost that much cause there's so many pieces, along with a cd to progam the Brick and other junk lol)

I'm not sure, but if Lego Technic sets have basically the same types of gears(gotta have the right type of gears..after all, if the ones from the Technic sets don't tickle like the Minstorms one, then the bot wont be as fun. lol), motors and junk (in fact, Technic parts can be used for some parts of Mindstorm robots. ), then that may be the cheaper way to go, as far as whole sets go. But for bots you can program...definetly go with Mindstorms.
