Tickle-Muggles? Quest for a new word!

Similar to the Harry Potter books' word for non-magical people (=Muggles), we should create a new word for non-tickling people. The prefix 'non-' always has a negative touch. Maybe even two new words would be called for: non-ticklish and not-yet-converted-to-tickling... 😀

Let me hear your opinion and suggestion on this (very important 😛) linguistic matter!

Tickledoebies- People not into tickling.

Maybe unenlightened sounds better... but who cares. LOL

Ok, maybe "Republicans" is too all-encompasing. I mean, come on...can't you just imagine Orrin Hatch holed up in a motel room with three strippers, praying that the media doesn't catch wind of him? Come on, Orrin...fess up!

Seriously...I usually use the same terminology in tickling as I use for D/S in general..."Vanilla". For those of you not familiar with the term, it's pretty much the accepted lingo for "non-bondage or D/S folks". It works here as well, methinks.

I am a Republican, but I have to admit that was funny, Dave.

As a Gamer & Sci-Fi Guy, I've heard the term "Mundanes" used to describe those who don't share or comprehend our obsessions, notably used by the Vampire fan contingent. However, it can have a negative, almost condescending connotation. I noticed that it popped up on Babylon 5 as a derogatory term used by Telepaths to describe Non-Telepaths.

How could I forget about Max Speer's immortal Kittletown? Probably I concentrated more on the described tickling than on the word for non-ticklish people... 😀 BLANKS!!!

Thanks so much for your creative support, my friends! Keep your suggestions coming, we still need a word for those people who simply don't know about the power of tickling, and therefore ignore it. Potential ticklephiles, so to say.

I agree with the notion of using "vanilla" to describe folks not into such. Too used to it already. It's easy to use and non-negating, unless the person's a wanna-be. Got it from the bdsm community, and bein' that I'm rather geeked, I associate it with the term "plain-vanilla" used to describe things ordinary in the computer field.

"She's a 'lee, but plays vanilla" translates nicely to "She's into being tickled, but doesn't prefer the use of bondage in her play." Shorter and better.

"He's vanilla, through and through. Don't know how long she'll last with him" Used often to describe someone involved outside of their kink. Sometimes, that works, and you find a convert. More often, vanilla is vanilla, y'know?
