I was at the beach today, and there were only 5 people 3 girls, another guy and myself. One thing led to another and the 3 girls started to tickle me which was great and all but the other guy jumped in and started to tickle my feet, I know he doesn't have a tickle fetish and doesn't know how awkward it felt for me but it was so awkward, has that ever happened to anyone here? If so, share your experience!

i totally understand what you mean, being tickled by someone else besides my boyfriend is so awkward for me that im almost disgusted when ever it happens =/.

Yeah, me too. Other than cyber tickling, if I don't know the person (guy or girl) it's more awkward than anything, and potentially disgusting.
Tickling is something you do when you trust the other person enough to warrant those kinds of actions, it's more of an annoying nuisance if you don't even know the person at all, and actually can make you much less/not ticklish in that situation from all the mixed signals being shot through your brain then.

Uuum when I was younger (around 13) I went to this slumber, birthday party and I am the oldest/youngest person you will ever meet.I mean I have no energy and I was a party for a 10 year old girl and some other kids. This was my brother's girlfriend's sister named Amy.Anyway,I lied down under some futon and Amy and her friend Vaughn started to tickle me to wake me up.I had never met Amy or Vaughn and it did not feel that awkward to me.I kept getting tickled every time I tried to go to sleep.Amy continued to tickle me every time I tried to go to sleep as well as my other friends for as long as I had known her.My friends don't tickle me to keep me up that often anymore but they will to wake me up.I no longer have contact with Amy since she moved.

yeah, I can't stand it when another guy tries to tickle me, I guess I know how it feels for girl when I try to tickle them and they REALLY hate to be tickle 😛

So this guy has a perfect opportunity to tickle the other girls in your defense, but instead chooses to tickle you. Unless he likes guys better than girls (which is okay) that seems like a really dumb move on his part.

That's actually kinda weird. I assume that was a buzz kill for you?XD

Can't say that I would have enjoyed that experience too much. When I was younger, if a guy tickled me, I didn't like it at all and usually got mad.

They were all total strangers to you or did you know these people.
Confused.

Other than that, I would not be comfortable with another guy tickling me and like said here the guy had golden opportunity to come to your rescue and tickle the girls or at least one of the girls yet he chose to help the girls tickle you. I can understand your feelings.

And sometimes I get reminded of how much tickling fetishists lose perspective on the "norms." These people were engaged in harmless tickling with someone with no sexual connotations more than likely. Lay the hell off the guy who thought it'd be fun to go with the flow, and didn't do what you guys would want to get a thrill. It's not sexual for everyone, so just keep that in mind.

I agree with Sammi Chan that it was all done as horseplay, and it was not a sexual scene whatsoever. But whether or not tickling is sexual to you, it's still touching somebody in an intimate way. The guy crossed a line, in my opinion.

Besides, it was already two on one. I would think the most guys jumping into the fray would try and balance it out a little more, rather than make it even more unbalanced. Sense of fair play and all that.

What line? I'm just about willing to bet anything I've got that that guy wasn't thinking there was a sexual line with tickling someone's feet. That guy didn't have a line to cross. Pitticklinger himself said the guy didn't know how awkward it made him feel, so the blame lies completely with him for not saying something. So who gives a crap if most guys would go after one of the girls? Is anyone at this forum really in a position to look at him as a weirdo for not doing what we might expect?

When I have been on the receiving end of tickle-torture--say, two people torturing me--every time a third or fourth person has decided to get involved, fair play had absolutely nothing to do with it. They pretty much always, always join the lopsided majority and tickle me instead of coming to my rescue. Tickle attacks are sort of unbalanced endeavors by nature, with one person being the object of everyone else's teasing abuse.

True, when I've been in these situations, 95% of the time my attackers are women instead of dudes. But as I've said elsewhere, I think that's because dudes don't tickle each other that much (at least in this culture) probably in part because of weird hang-ups about same-sex contact.

I worked with someone who was a pretty obvious homophobe, and he was an equal opportunity tickler. Are you trying to look slick in front of some chick? He'd probably sneak up behind you and work his fingers into your ribs. Cool, huh? 😀

He definitely crossed the line that define's Pitticklinger's comfort zone. And he crossed a line between fair play and ganging up.

So...make that two lines.

Pitticklinger himself said the guy didn't know how awkward it made him feel, so the blame lies completely with him for not saying something.
Well if that were true, it would mean any one of us can walk up and tickle anybody we know, and if they don't like it, we can just tell them, "Too bad, it's your fault for not saying something." 🙄

I'd have to disagree with this line of reasoning. That's right up there with "Hey, I thought she LIKED being tickled. She laughing, after all."

Is anyone at this forum really in a position to look at him as a weirdo for not doing what we might expect?
We're in a discussion forum, in a thread whose topic is the action in question. If this isn't the position to question that action, I don't know what would be. It's not like we're going to hurt his feelings.
