Has anyone here ever heard of tickling being used as a theraputic treatment, like for depression?

One of the Cal-Star "Tied & Tickled" movies used that as the plot. Seems reasonable to me!

I think it's WONDERFUL therapy...I actually feel depressed the less I am tickled...and find that my mental health is in a much better state the more frequently I get tickled...I believe it's quite an effective therapy against depression...and would gladly accept such treatment...wow...what a way to heal!!!!!! 😉

There was a guy who had some vidoes out of him tickling some women, and some women tickling him.

He claimed he suffered from depression, and that his endorphin levels and various chemical changes helped him from being depressed.

He claimed on his website that he had convinced his doctor, and his doctor's assistant to tickle him for a set amount of time, and then measure the differences in the levels of endorphins and such in his body, and the doctor revealed that the levels all increased, and helped him deal with the depression.

Maybe I'm wrong but, that sort of sounds like "The Laugher". Seems like he had mentioned something about tickling lifting his spirits on his site once. I read in a book once that tickling was good for hyper active kids but, I'm assuming that could apply to anyone hyper active child or adult. I've certainly met my share of hyper active adults that I'd like to tickle sensless!

There's a cure for clinical mysery I'd love to try.

Put tickling (and wine!) on the NHS!

I think Drew Barrymore was on a show one time and she said she has somebody come and tickle her for therapy. Boy would I like to have that job!

I'd love to have that job, too!!! And then have her give me some therapy in return...she's on my fantasy list...wow...what a woman...

sounds like the plot of a story I'm working on....

it is a good therapy, but unfortonatly its really underrated by the general public, I've called many massage parlors, salons and even therapy clinics asking if they had it, over 100 querys to 100 places, no luck....unofortonatly.....
