Tickle Vid Redundantcy?

Is it just me or has the whole tickle vid/dvd whatever, market just runamuck with redundancy?

I am NOT insulting anyone out there who has produced or is producing videos of tickling but, not for nothing, it all seems repetitive and over done. A lack of originality and intensity. Even the realism has dropped off somewhat.

Now don't say..."Well TTD, what Vids have YOU made" etc etc.
I would if I could but I have not the time or means to do so at this time or I most certainly would produce one.
I have the ideas but not the backing or the $$$ flow to do so.

I am just merely pointing out an observation.

What do YOU think?

Am I off base here?

I think that:

First-

A lot of people do not want a stroy. The buy the video for the tickling, so that's what the videos are.

Second-

If you are really so concerned, try emailing these companies, you may be surprised that they might like your ideas then use them... who knows. It is worth a shot!

Third-

It doesn't ALWAYS take money to produce a video, sometimes all you need is a ticklee who will be willing. Could be a friend or a girlfriend, or you could offer someone a few bucks and go at it. Other than that all you really need is a video camera and someone to hold it! There are plenty of people who have taken a film 101 class in College that could help!

I do have the vid camera and the knowledge but not the interested ticklee(s) or tickler(s) for that matter that would agree to appear on video.
After which I would not have a clue as to where to go to have the vid copied for distribution/sale.
However I am reasonable sure you have a solution to that as well my friend!😉

Look in the phone book under video and see if you can find a place that duplicates videos. Most moderate to large size cities have such place. Duplicating the videos is not hard part. Finding the models is the hard part.

In fact, I'm botttoming for a new vid this Saturday night at my birthday party-get your suggestions to me fast enough and you can see it pretty darn quick. That goes for everyone, btw 🙂

You're right about the redundancy regarding the tickling vids. I search online and many of the vids contain scenes already shown in other movies as well. It can be frustrating, but we have to remember that at least there are quality movies available and most have good resolution with quick shipment. No-I'm not in the movie business. Like you, if I had the $$ I would be....

I'm not sure what you mean by "redundancy." Although I've never done a video, when I write a tickling story I always come up against the fact that I'm just describing the same kinds of actions and reactions over and over. It's tough to make them distinct. I think some kind of repetition is inevitable -- there are only so many positions that the human body can be set up in, and only so many ways to really tickle someone -- although I admit I'm surprised video producers haven't picked up on some of the ways to tickle that I've seen at gatherings (e.g. the use of "silver bullet" vibrators).

i personally dig the back to basics approach

simple scenes, no stupid complicated sets or plots. good bondage,and something that seems obvious but is becoming harder to find;a deathly ticklish girl with a great laugh. I commend T C video's for returning to this format. it has made me decide to buy a dvd player and resume buying from them. They seem to be back on track with their last two productions. In the case of tickle videos, less is better.

I have to disagree. I like to watch tickling and not bad acting which usually comes with "plotted" videos. Plots, in my opinion, always seem to detract from the tickling.

I kinda understand, TTD. The last few vids I've seen are the same basic positions and usually the same dumb plot. My opinion? More fully clothed gals, More full figured gals, More laughing OUT LOUD,(as opposed to gentle cooing), and more teasing before the tickling starts. Then just all bare foot tickling. But what the hell do I know anyway?😎

the few videos I've bought, I bought for the models starring in the video. not the sets, not the plot, not the pantyhose versus bare feet thing, not the giant ugly bondage-o-matics, the MODELS. Regardless of how many clips and videos I've seen, my favorites will always be the ones with the models I like, especially FP's Lily. I love that girl.

it's all about the star of the show. everything else is secondary.

Bella, as for the vid that you are putting together, I think that it's great! I don't know the producers/directors of the field, but from what I gather, it is a pretty male dominated field. I'll be very interested to see a girl's perspective and what you want to portray on film.
If you want my opinion, any tickling video that has a good 'ler (one that knows how to verbally tease, tickling and pin their 'lee down), and a ticklish 'lee is going to be fun to watch.

Good luck with the production....and if you're the 'lee...have fun!!

I think this is the reason I never shot any tickling videos for commercial purposes; just my own. No one is really to blame for their opinions. The facts have been proven:

1) We are insatiable with our desires and will always buy tickling videos only to find that after a viewing or two (sometimes less) we are unsatisfied.

ANSWER: Our fantasies will NEVER be fulfilled.

2) We all have fantasies that contain our own particular tastes and we will always want more of something that, perhaps, other customers might want less of.

ANSWER: Video companies can offer custom-made videos.

Jeff and I talked about this years ago. He said that he would rather have really ticklish girls who are the girl-next-door type and not have to worry about directing actors. His angle was the girl-next-door-type and no one had done it like he did.

I think it's good that video companies carve their niche by doing what they do and being known for that. I think it's foolish of new video companies to try and simply imitate what has been done already (and sometimes imitate it poorly).

I always thought that if I started a company then it would be more story driven because that's what I am. It would also be more stylized and artsy, because that's what I am. It would probably fail terribly and I would get many complaints.

After all, we all have our own fantasies to fulfill. We're not buying videos to watch a cinematic masterpiece. We have more carnal interests to tend to.

Tickling Redundancy

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading the thread here and just wanted to put in my 2 cents. I understand the concerns of seeing the same thing over but you have to understand that it is just as frustrating for the video producer. It is sometimes very hard to come up with new ideas much less the people to do them with. Then we get caught in the middle of the of the Stories / No Stories argument. Sometimes it feels like you can't win.

When you get down to it, tickling, is tickling, is tickling. Many people who get videos never watch the whole thing at once because the bery act of the tickling is redundant. I know I have numerious videos that have taken me a couple of settings to watch.

What I think should be the thing to focus on is not the topic or lack of it, or the psoition the person is in wheather tied up or not, but instead, look for the fresh faces, the different laughter's, the real people be they male, female, large,small, or anything in between. How much is spent on the good spots and so forth.

It think if you do this you will be a lot more satisfied with your purchase and not feel as frustrated.

I will get back to you on this one my dear Bella!!! I know for sure you are for real. My main point is that, and not to bash anyone in the Vid Biz but to use TC as an example, and JUST as an example, I think they are one of the best out there, however, if you watch, say 10 of their vids, it seems as if alot of them are the same vid with a different face now and then. Speaking of faces, when do we UNmask the Tickler in Black, Muhahahhahhaaaaaaaaaa.
The tickling is at times, in most vids, too...........Playful too.

They are not making a substantial amount of money. I mean come on, how many videos do we buy annually, and remember the people in this forum are basically the only people who buy tickling videos.

So for a small amount of money that they gross, how much can anyone truly expect???

Why hire "models"? Models that require a larger sum of money to be in the videos?

Why not hire girls and guys who are IN the community so to speak and who are insanely ticklish and who are genuinly ticklish and into tickling, not that TC is NOT mind you and the same goes for Jeff, but hire folks that are part of the community and tickle world, make a different agreement. Pay them commission on the vid sales as opposed to a large lump sum?!

I bet then you would see a bit better quality of productions and a bit more variety....... yes?

Again, I am NOT in any way Bashing any of the producers of tickle material.
Just trying to light a fire or feather under them!, heh heh heh

Making Videos

Hello TTD,

So far everyone I have ever met in the community does not want to be on camera. There is this parinoia in our community that people may find out who we are. Until that changes some, you probably will not see a lot of our folks staring in videos.

I'm not really surprised to see that we're rehashing this again. I think what it comes down to is that everyone has their own ideas of what the perfect video is and wants little outside of that one ideal. Fortunately, we have a variety of producers with a variety of styles.

As for the suggestion of doing videos as individuals, that's not always possible. Drew and I made four, borrowing my brother's video camera. Though they are available to purchase, we haven't really pushed them at all. What laugher said is likely the case for a majority of folks here. People don't want to "risk" being found out. Look at how long it takes people to sign up here...and this is annonymous.

My suggestion...? Well, don't worry about videos. Buy them if you like them. But, don't center your tickling experience and existence on videos alone. Go out and live it!
