I couldn't log in earlier and before that, TT was down. I emailed TickleTheater and he said they're experiencing some technical difficulties, so if you're experiencing any problems, don't hang yourself just yet.

At any rate, it's working for me now.

Yeah, I'm havin' a bit of trouble myself, that being "We're experiencing Techincal blah blah" thing on the homepage.

I just got on now and it's bad... TT has sent a primary message about the problems but apparently their database has become corrupted and the latest backup they had dates back to March so anything that was added after that point: from posts, to content, possibly even to members... it's all gone.

If you became a member there after March 27, 2009 then I would seriously recommend checking TT to see if your membership is still good because TT also said that if the database cannot be repaired then the community would have to proceed with the back-up one.

As you probably notice we had some downtime this evening which was initially caused by a network switch hardware failure at the datacenter where the TTC servers are located. After that issue was resolved we come to find out the database tables had become corrupted, and to make matters worse the host provider never setup any backup for the new database server we had built for us.

So for now we're running on the latest backup available to us which is back from late March. I have the corrupted database still, and I will try to see if I can get it repaired properly. I am hoping for some luck with that, because if it cannot be repaired then we will just have to move forward with this and make the best of it.

I will post any updates regarding this matter to this thread so I will return the index.html page back to normal now.

TT message. If he can't repair the data base, then everything that was posted after March 2009 will be lost.....Damn!

Worse case scenario we go forward with the backup from March. I am looking at any and all options to restore the current database, and will be taking the site offline in the later hours this morning to work on it.

For the record I was assured that we had backups running from our managed hosting solution, but apparently they neglected to setup backups on the new database server we had built for us. The site files are fine, the attachments are fine, we just need to restore the database. If anyone is a DB expert please hit me up at [email protected]. Thank you, and sorry about this guys. I didn't want this to happen obviously either. 🙁
