The thread on controlling ticklishness led me to wonder about something.....
Pain and tickling appear to be at least somewhat related, considering that they both involve nerve endings receiving messages and transmitting those messages to the brain.... there for it would seem to me that if a person were taking painkillers (not like tylenol, but the serious stuff) it would effect their level of ticklishness. Has anyone ever noticed if this is true, because if it is, it could be useful at times (thinking of an ex girlfriend who wouldn't let me suck her toes because she was too ticklish) or it could be a way to convince someone who fears they are too ticklish to experiment with restrained tickling.... lots of possabilities.
of course, I would never endorse the use of a pharmaceutical without a prescription 😉
