I don't know how many of you know what Neverwinter Nights is so I'll start with a quick explanation. Neverwinter Nights is a computer game set in the Dungeons & Dragons world of Fearun. NWN is simply one of the most highly anticipated games of this year. That is because of the massively powerful Aroura Tooset that player can use to make their own worlds. Why am I talking about this in a tickling forum? You guessed it, I am currently working on a tickling world module for Neverwinter Nights. Now don't just go buying the game for this, it won't be ready for some time yet. But I promise it will happen soon enough. It's an awesome game in itself and it will be even better once I place all of you in the role of the head torture master of the city of Neverwinter. Now, I am still in the planning process so any and all ideas are welcome. This is a world of swords and sorcery with a strong fantasy midevil feel. So no futureistic machine tickling I'm afraid. However there have been rumors spreading through out Neverwinter that a fameous gnomish engineer is visiting town for a short while. Mabye you can talk him into something?

MMO/RPG/FPS

The group I work with is in the midst of designing & producing a game that will blow EQuest and yes, even Neverwinter(which looks great, btw) away...we are developing AI and a world that will create drama, tension and RP like only hard core gamers can currently conceive. It's slated for a late 2003/early 04 release and if you hang in there, I can grant you access after release to the code you'd need for a Module or even a full fledged TConversion if you're up to it. Take a peek at the beginning of the website here if you're into MMOs and such. Perhaps when we do beta testing and are looking for guinea pigs you'd be available?

Sure, I'd love to, it sounds like an awesome experience. I've been an avid EverCrack head for some time now. And I've had lots of beta experience as well. Here's my e-mail, drop me a line sometime.

Hopefully when you finish your module I'll be able to get Neverwinter to run without crashing. Is the toolset powerful enough to allow you transform a PG game into X rated tickle fest? I sure hope it is. Good luck.

Curiousity...

Kurch, why does Never crash on your puter? It was designed to be the most user friendly midlevel graphics MMO to date....they'd be very disappointed to hear it's not hitting the target audience.

Kjiron, when it's testing time I'll definitely be looking for some Forum volunteers...we'll be trying out a new layering system, using Butterfly.net and a 3D engine for the physics to create a "seamless" world, so we'll need people all across the continent at the very least. I'm used to creating shards of servers on the backbone and wherever needed, so this will be new to all of us too.

Qjakal, the game runs find until I exit then it never returns to the desktop and everything is frozen. I'm running it on Windows XP, with a 2Ghz processor and 512Mb ram you think that would be good enough but no I guess its not. The game itself is really cool I've finished the Prelude and started Chapter one before I entered the dark world of computer crashes. If you have any advice I sure would appreciate it.

Info...

What video card are you using? That's the only likely culprit given the specs you quoted...unless you're on dialup...yeah right, like ANY serious gamer would be...lol. Q

I'm using a NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500. It should be a good enough card I think.

Yup...

That game is designed to run flawlessly on a GeForce 2, so obviously that's NOT the culprit. Interesting...have you tried their helpline? They may need to patch a bit...very common the first few weeks (or months in some companies cases). Let me know if you get it solved, would you? Professional curiousity...thanx! Q

Thanks Qjakal. I think I'm going to reinstall it after I defrag my hard drive. They do have patches available and I think I will install them after I reinstall the game. I have contacted them by email but have not gotten a reply yet. The drivers are fairly new so I don't think that is the culprit. If it is not the software itself then I may have to turn off the screen saver and several other programs and see if that helps. I will let you know what happens. I have additional motivation with the potential of a tickling module. I would really like to tickle Lady Aribeth's feet.😀 Thanks again for the help.

Ich aouch

You know Kurch, I'm having a very simmilar problem. When ever I load or exit the game it locks up. Just freezes right up, but I do get back to my desktop. I'm on XP Home edition and all I need to do it Ctrl+Alt+Delete or Alt+Tab and I'm fine. I'm thinking it's just some incompatability issue that came out with that first patch because I was just fine before I ever patched it. Just keep your fingers crossed and wait for the next patch. I've already sent it some bug reports, wouldn't hurt if you wanted to do the same. Just visit the support section of www.neverwinternights.com.

Qjakal and Kjiron. I fixed the problem, sort of, I just loaded the program onto an older computer that runs Windows ME and everything is fine. Its the computer I use for the net so it is loaded with more junk in the system tray so I did not give it a lot of hope, but somehow it is working. I think it might be an issue with windows XP. For now I think I will leave it where it is since it is working fine. I still will report the bug though so they might take care of it in a future patch. Thanks guys for all your help. Better be nice to me now Lady Aribeth or you're gonna get tickled.😀

I can't wait till my mom, her b/f and I move up to Folsom, Louisiana. Gonna get my own computer with high-speed access...I wanna make sure I can play some good games that involve tickling. Oh yeah and also the City of Heroes game that's still being developed. 😀

Dear Kjiron,

Since I can't contribute to the technical aspect of this thread one bit, I'll just help you out with good, old-fashioned spelling: The word is "Medieval".

Keep up the good work!
