:blink

Note to self: Send out resume to New Delhi police dept. ASAP!

Verrry interesting find, STW.

Same here, though I have to wonder if this is supposed to discourage crime in Delhi or encourage it😉

This is NOT novel.

The nazis used this tactic.

Di Nazis were very successful, though morally corrupt.

I are surprised that more authorative organizations have implemented this same strategy.

hahahaha that's funny I am surprised it has worked

there I reposted the link to make it easier and if that doesn't work here is the article:
Tickling – Delhi police’s new ‘torture’ technique

By Iftikhar Gilani

NEW DELHI: Police in New Delhi have revealed that they are increasingly adopting a novel way to extract confessions from criminals in their detention. In a bid to ward off complaints by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), other civil rights groups and the Union Home Ministry, which accuse them of routinely torturing criminals in their custody, Delhi Police have decided to tickle confessions out of defendants. “We have found tickling a useful way to extract confessions. We employ this technique on educated criminals who complain to human rights groups of police torture,” revealed a senior police official. He admitted that, in the past, police officials did indeed used to beat criminals. “Now we tickle them under their armpits until they get out of breath from laughing. The technique has proved quite efficient and many criminals have confessed.” According to Delhi Police, a white-collar criminal three weeks ago not only confessed to his crime after being tickled – he also revealed the whereabouts of his accomplices.

Am I the only person who's finding an issue with this? I mean, put it into perspective. Ok, yeah...it's tickling being used in reality, cool.

But what are they doing? Replacing one kind of torture with another. It's even mentioned in the article that it's used on people "who complain to human rights groups." They complain for a reason.

The point is, they've taken something we enjoy and use for playful, erotic or sexual purposes (ie: positive ones) and have turned it into a weapon that still consitutes torture of a prisoner. If they change it to whipping the flesh off of someone's back, are the "whip people" in the BDSM world gonna go "Oh cool! They're using our type of play to torture people! YAY!"?

Not meaning to be a downer here, and it is an interesting find...just offering another perspective. They're still using it to torture, and admit that they're specifically circumventing human rights organizations by employing it. I wouldn't be too terribly proud of that. Just sayin'.

Well, they have to do something to get confessions guys.I guess sometimes you can't see the action as whole being a negative thing. It's how it's being used. When you are tickling your children, friends family or your boyfriend or girlfriend playfully then it's a good thing. When you are using to punish or extract confessions from a criminal well it's apparently controversial.

True to an extent. The issue though with using torture is that it conflicts with peoples "Human Rights" which is something you can't do. Ever. The tickling in this sense is deemed torturous so hence it shouldn't be allowed to take place.

At my old job I used to work with a woman from India who told me, with glee, that no guys in India were as ticklish as I am. It would seem in light of this report that she had insufficient evidence to make that claim, or that--more likely--she was just taunting me.

ah yes i agree with Dave here..it is giving our fetish rather a bad face, to be using it as a means of torture...i mean sure..i love reading stories based on non consensual tickle torture, used for interrogation etc..but the reality is quite different..for some people, being beaten is far the less evil of the two, who absolutely cannot stand being tickled..

They are all fucking retards... torture is torture, no matter what technique they use. 😛issed 😛issed 😛issed

Guys, come on,they tickle them under their arms until they run out of breath. It's not that bad,I wouldn't even consider that torture. For something to be torture it has to cause a lot of pain and tickling does not do that.I swear I would much rather them tickle me then electrocute or whip me.I don't know how else you want them to get the information they need. This is so far from torture.

Marie, that makes you the perfect candidate for that kind of treatment, you know. They use it on people who won't say it's torture so they can get away with forcing confessions.

I'm okay with that.I just don't see this as torture really Bella. From the sounds of it they aren't doing this to extremes. It's only until they run out of breath.I'm really sitting here and thinking it through and I've thought it about last night before I fell asleep and I know torture can be defined in many terms by some but I certainly can't think of a better way.A more gentle method. If you can I'd love to hear it.Just remember these are hardened criminals that have actually hurt and maybe killed others. Not some 15 year old who shoplifted a pair of clothes.

I can't disagree with anything Dave said.

Isn't tickling "kind of" like torture? I mean officially... restrainted one atleast, like that.
I mean yea it's fun, but I was talking about enforced and bondage containing tickling to REAL prisoners. If there'd be female police officers, it'd be swell to do a crime to get gang-tickled by them 😉 If they'd be beautiful and all.

hahaha well,to make things simple I went with the definition of torture which states it has to cause excruciating pain;which tickling does not.

well it depends if someone doesn't like to be tickled then i guess its torture
