tickling going mainstream...

In light of things like Yaqi's recent Stern appearance, the question is this... Are YOU for or against getting what has been for many of us a secret for most of our adult lives out into the spotlight?

There are pros and cons

One obvious plus would be if it WERE accepted, maybe it would lead to more mainstream tickling media (dedicated tickling scenes on TV and in Movies, an issue of People "50 most ticklish celebrities" etc...).

BUT, one big MINUS would be if the mainstream sees and DOESN'T like it... now we become a bunch of perverts and it would be harder to find someone to tickle because of the negative spin on it.


it's a truly "ticklish" situation... what do YOU think?

Personally, I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it... the mainstream doesn't automatically associate tickling with being on the list of turn-ons, if the world knows about all of it, you can kiss the "tickling for fun" goodbye.

I don't think it should be more of a secret, because with more people knowing about it, the more casual it will appear. Like sliced bread! The first time people heard of it they were freaked out, but the more and more it came, the more it got accepted!🙂

I dont care if it goes mainstream, as long as the results stay positive. In my situation, a few of us were talking about the Stern show in the car one night and i told everyone about tickling, torture style. Everyone now calls me the "tickle monster". So the result has been positive so far, so i say go for it.

From what I know about other fetishes/deviancies/fascinations, etc., if tickling went mainstream. I HIGHLY doubt people will find us more freakish than some of the other fetish groups. Sure, there are always going to be self-righteous, judgmental people who will express their unwanted opinions vocally, but there's nothing you can do about it.

To name an example (Keep in mind I'm not trying to judge another fetish group in case anyone here fits this category. I'm merely citing an example.), look at Furries. They had a special on MTV. My wife found it amusing, and confusing. I, myself, didn't completely understand it, but hey, I barely understand my own fascinations, so I wasn't gonna say anything bad about it.

Also, to some degree, I think it's already considered sexual by the majority. For example, let's say that in some high school somewhere, a guy starts tickling a girl in the hallway, and a teacher sees him. In most high schools, the teacher is probably going to reprimand the student for inappropriate behavior.
