supernurse said:How do you change from .rar to .exe?
thebordmanv said:First launch windows explorer (Not internet explorer) then in the menu: tools select "folder options". You then have to click on the tab "view" uncheck the option "Hide extensions for known file types"
press apply and then OK. Then change the first file's extension from .rar to .exe . By right clicking on the file and choosing rename. You can undue this by following the instructions again and reclicking the hide extensions box.
Let me know if it works. Thebordmanv

All that it means is that the extensions are hidden it is to protect your computer from misuse. It is the same reason that all system and .dll files are usually hidden. If you unhide anything be more careful. Your player may not play .wmv files because it doesn't have the proper updaded Codecs you can get these from www.microsoft.com and you should be using Media Player 8 or later with at least a 350 Mhz processor with 128 megs of ram in order to play these files.Storm_Cat said:do you need to change it back afterwards? if one doesn't, will it cause probs?
