Tickling in the news - bad news

I read a news article that involves a tickling fetishist. Unfortunately it also involves two underage girls too. I cut & pasted it below.

We need more positive tickling stories in the news, dontcha think? It'll help to recover from stories like these...

NewsCenter 5's Jorge Quiroga reported that John Heylin, 56, an umpire for 27 years, pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and battery on two girls, 11 and 13 at a Norwood playground Saturday evening.

"Mr. Heylin is a little confused this morning. We discussed the matter and he does deny the charges. He feels bad he is being charged with this. He doesn't fully understand what he is being charged with," said defense attorney Howard Lewis.

Heylin has no criminal record, lives with his brother and bags groceries at Shaw's Supermarket.

"He asked her if she was ticklish, and she refused to answer. And he began to tickle her on the leg area. He grabbed her above the right knee. He rubbed and squeezed her chest area with his hands under her shirt," said Assistant District Attorney Paula Nedder.

The district attorney alleged Heylin molested the girls the Wilson Street playground Saturday evening near a ball field where he umpired three Babe Ruth League games earlier in the day. Nedder said Heylin admitted touching the girls and even apologized to one of the girl's mothers.

"He admitted to tickling the girls. He admitted to taking his umpire shirt off and wearing the T-shirt underneath. He admitted to asking one of the girls to go back to his car with him. And he admitted deriving sexual pleasure from tickling the girls," said Nedder.

Lewis said there was no confession. Heylin was released on $500 cash bail and ordered to stay away from children, playgrounds and to refrain from umpiring until the case is resolved.

He will return to court June 29.

Thank you, Bondo, for posting the story. This is a perfect example of why I advise people to use discretion and not touch underaged kids in any way that could be construed as remotely sexual or fetishistic. The real perverts who try to take advantage of the naivete of kids are giving all fetish people a bad rap. I sincerely hope that the authorities throw the book at that perverted freak.

My Opinion . . .

After reading the ar-tickle (Sorry. Couldn't resist) I came to a conclusion.
This guy had no REAL interest in tickling the girls. He used tickling to lessen the sexual assault. In his sick mind, he figured that tickling is such an 'innocent' thing that the authorities (AND the girls) would think it's not a big deal.
His TRUE intention was to touch these girls inappropriately. Ticvkling was NOT his intenion.
This, of course, is my own personal opinion.
This bastard should be put away for a long time.

I will go along with everyone else on this. This guy should have known you NEVER touch underage girls in any manner. As far as that goes all any female has to do if you touch them against their will is tell someone that you did and you're in big trouble. Even if you know a female who is over the age of 18 very well you should keep your hands to yourself until you explain your fetish to her and ask her if she minds being tickled. One of the reasons we have a brain in our heads is so we can control our urges ahd this guy should have used his. I love children. But I do not really hold anything against pedophiles...just the ones that cross the line. Few of us 'choose' our sexuality, but all of us choose how we go about handling it. And there are just some things one should never do, especially to children. Unfortunatly only the criminals get into the news and people only hear what's in the news. So the few people who are of a certain sexuality 'and' cross the line are the only ones anyone ever hears about. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. And it's even more true today.
