Tickling interest present since youth

A post in the "Addiction" thread mentioned something that's true for me - being interested in tickling since childhood. I was, and for about as far back as I'm capable of recalling.

I'm now wondering if that's true here. I recall such a thread on one of the USENET tickling-related groups, but not which. Could've been alt.sex.fetish.feet, for all I can recall, since that's where "we" posted, way back when. I do remember that there were others, but it was far enough back that there weren't many responses, and certainly not enough to prove more that the fact that those of us into it early are very vocal.

The questions:
1) When were you first aware of this interest?
2) Do you have other interests, like bondage or an interest in a particular part or area of the body.

Why those two? If, like me, your interest preceded your sexuality (somewhere during the onset of puberty), it's possible that this kink could be a very focused interest transposed onto our sexuality. That many of us have an interest in one or more deviancies seems, to me, to be related to the fact that tickling requires accessability (and an avoidance of kicking), and that certain areas are more responsive on some individuals. Oh, and that little people are nearer to feet (goin' along wit' the idea that we get this interest early). Thus, bondage to keep the 'lee from goin' anywhere, and fetishitic tendencies due to what areas were most responsive for you.

I have memories of being under the table at around the age of 5-6 and driving everyone crazy by tickling their ankles. So....yes, way before puberty set in. and yes, bondage to a degree, at least enough to immobilize the person to the point where I and they don't get hurt...lol. I actually tend to combine tickling and teasing, and whichever gets the desired (for both) results becomes paramount. dvnc, I agree with your pan-fetish theory (fetishes tend to come in groups), but in my case it was the other way around regarding tickling.

I can recall more or less elaborated bdsm scenarios I fantasized about as far back as first grade. I even have faint memories of the kind of sandals my nannies wore when I was even younger.
I remember the weird feeling I got when The Three Stooges got nearly tickled to death by the Venusian women. Then one day (I was probably eight) I found my sister tickling a cousin’s foot ( my sister’s inclination to that sort of activities during childhood still troubles me and my psychologists ) and I said to myself “¡That’s it, that’s what I like!”.

Thanks, Pluma. That's interestin' stuff, 'cause you're the first that I've heard to mention related kinks as a predecessor to sexuality. While tickling preceded sexuality, it was a post-facto interest, when compared to bdsm fantasy.

Either way, the concept of elaboration of deviancy is now becoming confirmed.

Since first grade... (what is that 5 or 6 years old?). I remember often tickling the girl next door who watched me while parents were out having fun of their own. I've got a good one for you. My tickling fetish goes back even BEFORE my memories. I vividly remember tickling my sister when I was three; not just the tickling, but the sexual pleasure of it. My $0.02

(1) Like the rest of you, my interest in tickling predates puberty.

(2) I'm a foot tickler, not much interested in UB tickling. I'm not into bondage, even with heavy duty tickling I've never used more than light restraint and/or upper body strength. I don't have a foot fetish per se, no interest in toe sucking etc., it's just where I like to tickle. However, I can't help checking out a barefoot lassie and speculating.

(3) While we're speculating, here's my take on why so many of us are "into" feet. Tickling is more fun on bare skin. Most of the standard tickle spots are usually covered with clothing, at least in the climate I grew up in. When engaging in an ambush tickle, as most of us did when we were young, it's lots easier to flip off a shoe than to remove most other articles of clothing.

My first memory of having a tickling fetish was probably when I was four years old. The first female tickling scene I saw was in Alice in Wonderland. I remember being exstatic about it for some weird reason. As odd as it sounds.......I would remember seeing alot of */m scenes in cartoons, and always looking at the female characters hoping it would happen to them. I have had a "thing" for tickling since I can remember. My first memory was the age of 3, when my parents took me on a trip to California to see an Aunt and Uncle.
I can remember sitting under the table and tickling my aunts feet. She was pretty ticklish and every so often would have to shoo me away so that conversation could continue. Years later she moved back to the East Coast and would always tickle me, saying "I am getting you back for all those under the table tickles"
My attaching tickling to something sexual was not until about 11-12.
At that time if someone teased me(girl espcially) I would immediatley think of ways to tickle them as revenge.

I used to really like to tickle feet but I found that the flailing foot,unbounded, wouldn't really get tickled, but going after an armpit, side or tummy was easy access. Exact opposite of Strelnikov,
because girls were not dressed in clothes 3 layers thick on the East Coast.

Currently, I like bondage if the ticklee is a mover and shaker, but if the ticklee is a sit and take it type then the bondage is not needed. Bondage is great also so you don't have to hold your victim down that much, if they do move and shake.

Thanks to all who responded. It seems that locations for interest vary, as do the presence of other kinks, beyond the facilitation of the tickling, but all of us, so far, started young. Interestingly, some indicate very early interest, as was mine, while others started it during initial early and preliminary social activities, like marcusb and Pluma.

I'm realizing that nearly all responses, thus far, seem to be tickers who are either heterosexual and male, or genderally anonymous and focused on women. I'm wondering where the "out" women are, and the homosexual contingent? Maybe this topic's too invasive. Alas. Still, it's interesting to see our similarities, no?

I noticed at the last NEST(which had 50+ people) that this tickling fetish/thing/interest crossed almost every boundary out there.
There were people from all ethnic and racial backgrounds, white, black, asian, arabic, all sizes of people, from all over the globe.
It is amazing to me that this interest crosses so many backgrounds.
It is cool too.
I think you will see some more response to this thread, it is kind of new. I only noticed it this morning.

I've asked myself how I got into tickling numerous times...I have always been fascinated with women's stomach's and navels. One of my earliest memories was watching Underdog with my brother. I distinctly remember the Tickle Feather Gun episode and when Sweet Polly got tickled. When she started shrieking with laughter, something in my tiny mind just clicked. Other images left their mark: the Sesame Street segment on the letter T when David tickled a large letter T. The T's wild, resonating laughter was distinctly female. The Desenex commercial where the little foot at the end was tickled, and the Foot Guard commercial where the wife sprays her family's ticklish soles.

I do find women's feet attractive, though I question whether it's a genuine fetish. I've also develped a fondness for stockings and socks (often overlooked, in my opinion). I've had the fascination as long as I can remember, but my first concrete memories involve being around five years old and having my older (predominantly male) cousins hold my ankles & tickle my feet till I said "uncle". And I remember, even at that time, thinking "Hey,this is fun!!!"

Thought provoking subject...

My interest in tickling dates back to my earliest memories. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that some of the earliest things that I can remember, at 3 or 4 years old, involve tickling in some way. I also seem to recall always liking tying the neighborhood girls up at a surprisingly young age 😉

Trying to decide what exactly motivated me to do that then is difficult if not impossible, though. I dont recall ever tying up a girl or woman and not wanting to tickle her, but I do like bondage in and of itself.

I feel that in some ways my fetish has evolved and changed. I was very into feet when I was younger; never to the point of it being a seperate fetish, but still. Now, though, I like different things at different times, and there's no one body part that stands out in my mind as being inherently more preferable than any other.

My enjoyment of tickling has changed too. I enjoy a lot of the peripheral behaviors that go with it a lot more than I used to, like the clenching and unclenching of a woman's fist when she's tied up and being tickled.
