Tickling Machine Question

If you owned or had access to a device that could tickle you well enough to make you laugh, would you use it on yourself, in the absence of a human tickler?

Would it depend on whether or not you could turn it off? Would it depend on whether or not other people could see or hear you? How about other criteria?

For me, I would use it, but I would have to be able to turn it off, not that I'd want to just so that I had that power, you know? And I wouldn't want anyone to see or hear me, because this would be a very private and vulnerable position I am in at the time of machination...

well i wouldn't want to use it on myself since i can't stand being tickled, but would love to trap someone in it and watch them laugh and squirm helplessly in it.

I would use it. I'd use self bondage, with the handcuffs key in a safe that won't open until a specific time, say 20 minutes after being locked. Then set the tickling machine for the desired amount of time. I would prefer it be private.

This is actually a big kink of mine but since no machine exists i can't do it lol

Were I being tickled I highly doubt I would be capable of turning it off, so it would really depend on whether the machine could turn itself of by some means. Not being seen or heard is a must because this is a rather large weakness, and it would be preferable that it not be easily attributable to me by strangers. It might be interesting and/or amusing to try a few times but human social interaction is more important to me, I think.

well of course I would have to be able to turn it off but I would use when I was bored or wanted to be tickled when I was alone.

Invisible Ink once wrote a story for me involving a tickle machine..it's an intriguing thought..but what if it malfunctioned while you were trapped inside..and what if no one was coming home for a long time? the idea is super cool, but the reality is a bit scary..

but let's put that aside..yes i would use one..but somehow there would have to be some sort of signal, letting the machine know when i've had enough..

A tickling machine need not be particularly complicated or threatening. In fact, someone built a rather benign working prototype of just such a thing (too bad it's experimental and there aren't plans to market anything like it anytime soon).

I've often wondered why, what with all the strange and wonderful devices on the market designed to induce other sorts of pleasant sensations, there aren't more tickling machines on the market?

I'd jump on the idea without hesitation, seeing as have terrible luck with getting myself into a ticklish situation (save for my now-wanting-to-tickle-the-crud-out-of-me-the-next-time-we-meet girlfriend). It would have to be private, definitely. And as for how it works...well, if there isn't a limit on how technologically advanced the machine could be, I'd program it to recognize a safe word, so that it would stop when I say it...just like in real life.

I once read a story (could be from here) about a tickling machine that could read the victim's energy levels and whatnot, and could be programmed to stop as he or she gets tickled to a certain limit. That would be cool, too.

Of course, the machine malfunctioned in that very story, and continued until the poor girl passed out...a possibility Izzy here pointed out... *gulp* :umm:

A tickling machine would need a fail-safe stopping mechanism akin to an emergency brake, which might cut the power, for instance, if the ticklee loses his or her grip on a squeeze device.

Ya know, sprouting from that idea are many interesting possibilities for tickling endurance machines, as well!

Like those tickle games people play where you gotta hold a pen between your big toes while someone tickles your feet, and see how long you can keep it there without dropping it. It's definitely plausible to develop a machine that operates with simple pressure-switch mechanisms of some type that mimics that of objects...so that it turns into a sort of game! Or an endurance machine, even. Then again, for something like that, I'm sure there wouldn't be much need for restraint...and it wouldn't be much of a "session"...

Still, it's an intriguing concept! 😉

I'd definitely be wanting to get my hands on such a machine. Of course, nothing beats the real thing... but having a toy like this would be a lot of fun too. I'd prefer it to be private, or with very close company... with some sort of preset timed locking mechanism.

I hope someone gets on building one of these things. I'd love to be one of the testers. There will probably be a lot of kinks and malfunctions to work out.

Judging by the way you said that, it almost seems like you'd want the thing to malfunction on you. Hmm... 😛

I don't know... being trapped in a machine that was slowly, mercilessly tickling me for hours upon hours... that would be... awful. Yes. Awful is what that would be. :evilthoughts:

Awfully fun! :super_hap

In that case, maybe you would want somebody you trust on standby to shut it off if it gets to be too much.

I would LOVE to have a machine that would tickle my bare soles. In private. Different speeds & pressures. Be able to use different 'attachments' (feathers, brushes, etc). & be as QUIET as possible. A low whirring would be ok, but I wouldn't want the machine to be noisy or loud. &, of course, I would use it on my next vict - umm . . . I mean . . . lee. :feather::roflmao:

i would definitely want to be able to turn it off...but it'd be interesting to have someone else controlling it. like if there were different levels on the machine as to intensity and suchlike.

See, that's interesting.

I read a lot on this site that people want to be tickled sh**less for hours and hours with no safewords, no freedom (of movement)... literally with no mercy. And that's essentially the same as a human "fail safe" for when things go wrong.

But when it comes to machines, people wouldn't dare use them without a fail safe method. 😛

Now obviously there's a big difference between humans and machines, it's just interesting to see how easily people will change. XD

i'd say lay the idea to the japanees they love to tinker arround with stuff with robotics , hey if they can make a robot that looks like an astranout walking arround etc etc , i bet one could be programmed to tickle a person

for the on topic part , i could use it but won't work on me, but would loooove to see a lee in such a situation in private with me on the off button ^^ (oops the batery fell out and under the closet, gotta get one in the store brb in .... an houre or 2 )

Yes, a very interesting observation. Perhaps it just boils down to the issue of trust. Although having no safewords or a way out during human tickle torture would be the same as a tickling machine-gone-mad, humans generally trust other humans more than machines. I mean, we do trust machines to do what they need to do, like drive us to work, or make our coffee in the morning, or tell us what the outside temperature is, or even keep us alive when we're on the brink of death...but when it comes to the subject of morality, we tend to stick with human intuition and judgement, rather than the un-bias, un-thinking machines that are tickling the stuffing out of our completely immobilized bodies. Heh, even if the human in question is the most sadistic torturer in the world, I'm sure that most would choose that person over a renegade machine...

Then again, I guess it all depends on the person...and how much he or she trusts other people. What say you, misanthropic HDS?
