I nominated Kujman for this award. Now, I know that many people on this site dislike his way of going about certain things. I too, after hearing some of the Kujman horror stories, have some concerns about the mans sanity and integrity. That said, I think it would be a shame not to give this man the pioneer award. I think this award is about the tickling and the publicity this man has brought to our fetish. When I first started coming on the internet some eight years ago, this guy was nurturing a way of life that was in the early stages of blossoming. He took our fetish public and made it "acceptable" so to speak. I don't mean to say that he was alone, there were many other people that contributed as well but Kuj seems to be the one that everyone remembers. In conclusion, I believe that in this case we should overlook Kuj's personality {afterall this is no popularity contest} and present this award strictly on his tickling merits.

Personally, I'd like to know what spurred the negatives concerning him. I've spoke to him in the past, and he seemed OK to me. But some of the things that I've heard lately, makes me wonder what happened to change his attitude. I've always liked to give people the benifit of the doubt. He was around a long time. So was TickleChgo, though. He had events going before any gathering or NEST. Speaking of NEST, there's Max Speer. Did Kujman get a 50+ person event going? Even MY events of the last 5 years haven't had that many at one time. What about the artists? The webmasters? What about the many contributors that DON'T mistreat the community and the people in it?

Oh, and Talons, on merit, he did WHAT again? He was around a while ago. Involved himself in a magazine. Performed at ren faires on the east coast, tickling folks who didn't know that this is a sexual interest for him, and us. No public events, only private ones, though. Didn't even stand you all well as a moderator here. What else? What did I forget?
There are many others. Others who did well for this community without malice or manipulation. They deserve such credit moreso than anyone deleting people's commentary strictly on disagreement. Max Speer, TickleChgo, AmazonXXX, Chad Pet, BAC, etc...
You'll note that, while I disagree, I choose polite debate over suppression.
Gents, I don't dig this notion, clearly. I'm NOT the whole of the scene. However, there's scarce commentary here. Perhaps therein lies your greatest commentary.

While I would not like to put words into anyone's mouth, I think TTD may have been making a more general statement, about how most debates are seldom represented impartially by any parties involved. Rather, there are the circumstances surrounding it and then the various viewpoints reporting on how those circumstances were perceived. No one's ever totally right, or totally wrong, because people have intrinsic biases that color their views of the world.
After that, I'll quickly retreat from the world of serious issues and back into my more comfortable terrain of stories and smart alecky comments.

I have to respect your perspective, sir, and I appreciate your views here. Even with such, though, impartiality vs. truth? Seems a pointed statement, not just to me, but to everyone that commented, nevermind the fact that such is inevitably a percentage of the whole.

DVNC, forget I mentioned anything about Kuj. I am in fear for your health and would not like to see you have a stroke. I did not realize that you would become so defensive on this matter. I don't want to start any trouble here so just forget what I said. I am clearly not as well versed in the history of tickling on the web and in public as you seem to be. Therefore, I don't wish to get into a pissing match with you (especially because you are a moderator and can kick me if you so desire) I was merely stating an opinion is all.

This place is, for me, many friends, in ADDITION to being a community of like-minded deviants. I've too many folks I know from the last decade to single out one person easily. Max started the LARGEST gathering in the world, for our kind. NEST has never been bested for size. TickleChgo started the earliest events known to me, in addition to bein' one helluva nice fellow. Magic Touch not only does great videos, but keeps this place afloat, and this place is, for me, something fine and splendid. Oblesklk has done the finest websites in our community, IMO. What about Clueless Joe, though? Simon333? QBWeaver, who backed me on the West Coast events, helped me start them, cohosted them, and had many them for the last year and a half. Bellarisa and her MidWest NEST, and her earlier identity, were around and vocal early on, representing the bdsm aspects early and vocally.
There's just so many that helped this scene get going that it's tough for me to pick one, and you'll note I have issues with some folk.

Actually, I kinda agree with Blackstar. Ana & Andre deserve props far more than Kujman.
By utilizing exclusively minority talent, they provide the strongest alternative to the boring plastic cookie-cutter blondes that seem to be all FMC & Co. were interested in up until very recently. That stultifying homogeneity might lead some of the more melanin-endowed newcomers to the community to mistakenly believe that they aren't welcome here. Dealing with racism is tough enough without having to suspect it at work among your fellow deviants. (I'm not getting into a race discussion now, I'm just recognizing that there are those who might feel that way.)
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall that Andre & Ana were the first to appear on a mainstream program (If you want to call Howard Stern mainstream 😛 ) and present tickling as something acceptable and Ticklephiles as normal people, long before Yaqi did. Correct me if I'm wrong again, but I suspect that appearance inspired Howard to institute the Celebrity Tickle Chair, a feature which a fair-sized segment of the community seems to follow with great eagerness, so much so that this very forum has a direct link to e-mail him about it. I have yet to hear of Kujman doing anything even remotely approaching that.

Hey HAwkikim, if you take the time to read my post you may realize that I was asking for DVNC's opinion on who he would nominate, not for his nomination. Misunderstanding and misreading peoples posts is how problems begin. I am glad you nominated him, seems like he does quite a bit around here. As for Kuj, no one said anyone has to vote for him, I just made a suggestion. To alleviate the whole thing I am withdrawing my Kuj vote and giving it to Obelsklk.😎 😎
