Tickling program for the community.

I FINALLY finished a program that I think will be very useful for the tickling community, and I'm pretty damn proud of myself 🙂. I made it in Visual Basic 6.0, and it works fine from the limiting testing I could do.
Here is the basic Idea of the program, there are 8 option buttons you can pick from in the first screen, and go from 1. guy wanting to tickle a girl 2. a girl wanting to be tickled by a guy 3. a girl wanting to be tickled by a girl 3 a girl wanting to tickle a girl etc. going through all the possible combinations of man-woman tickling. Ok once you pick one of those, you are prompted to connect to a server computer (my computer, which should always have a static IP address so you can always connect) and once you do, it will drop your IP off into my server program (that will always be running 🙂). After two people of opposite sexs do this (I.E. A guy that wants to tickle a girl and a girl that wants to be tickled by a guy) the server program will automatically pair you two up and will initiate a one on one IP chat between the two!
I just finished this program today, and it probably still has millions of bugs so I need about 5-10 people that are willing to be sort of beta testers, so when I release the program I won't have to release 20 updates right after it (which would be annoying to both me and the user). I could not test it thoroughly myself because I only have two computers in my house and could not make many connections by myself, so could whoever is interested please respond to this thread with E-Mail address or other contact?
Also I would like to add that a while ago I had a c++ program I was going to distribute among the community, but right after I made it and was going to send it out I had to format my computer and I never got around to making it again, but trust me I will get this one out to whoever wants it.

Shelper...I won't speak for anyone else. For me personally, I'm not into cyber or looking for anyone to pair up with. If I was, I'm not sure your program (from what you've stated in your post) offers me anything that I can't get in the TMF chat room. If there's something I'm missing here, you may want to point it out. Maybe you'll get more response.

Well truthfully it was just sort of a learning experience for me in server like chat that I wanted to test out, but I thought it might be a little more interesting then going into a chat room and asking around for people to talk to, I guess it makes it somewhat easier to find the kind of person your looking for...generaly thats what I was going for. If a lot of people had the program you could pair up with the kind of person you wanted to talk to (tickle) immediatly almost any time. Well if other people think it's a stupid idea too let me know so I can change it into a sports-chat program or something just to test it out (lol) - I just thought it might be easier than the room and a little more private.....or something like that.
Well if anyone wants the program to check it out anyways E-Mail me [email protected] or respond to the thread with an E-Mail, the program will still work fine if there are enough people.

Shelper...I wouldn't give up on the idea. The premise sounds good. Maybe adding other info., like location, interests, etc. to be matched would be helpful...rather than simply who's tickling whom.

I was thinking something like that, but with so many interests it would take hours to find someone matched perfect with another person, especially if not a lot of people used the program. You guys should check it out though, just to look and maybe try, I think some of you would like it once you see how easy it would be, just give me an E-Mail and I'll send it. If not though I'm open to any other kind of suggestions, tell me what you think should be done to the program and I'll change it for you. I worked on it for a long time so like ann said I'm not going to give up on it that easy 🙂.

Ann - I'll think about what kind of interests I could put in there that wouldn't be too specific.

Shelper, maybe you could include Ann's suggestion by a 'matching any words' program in an 'other interests' box. I, too, think it would be helpful if the participants shared at least one other interest they can chat about.

Location is not important for cyber tickling, and for real life contacts, the TMF provides a rather extensive 'Personals' section.

The 'tickling interest' has to match better, of course. But there are a lot of 'switches' out there, so how would you solve that?

Haltickling I'm sorry but I don't really understand what your trying to say lol.....could you by any chance try and explain it in a different way? I get that you think each user should have a box where they can match interests, and that would be great but I can't do that the way the program is build.

Shelper, sorry that I didn't express myself clearer. What I meant:

You could install an option button for 'other interests' where visitors can fill in their hobbies. A data comparison between the contents of this box of each signed-up user could check if somebody else has at least one of the hobbies in common with the searcher.

While the gender-specific option buttons would allow one choice only (thus 'match better'), the 'other interests' should be an additional option, allowing multiple entries.

Forget it if that's too complicated. I don't know enough about computers, as I only acted as a go-between of user specific requirements and programmers. Teaching me about programming would be tantamount to teach knitting to a hippopotamus! 🙂

'Switches' in my last sentence meant people who like to turns with tickling, switching between tickler and ticklee. A lot of us, really.

I was thinking of maybe altering the program so if two people had similar results like someone had "guy wanting to tickle girl" and someone had "girl wanting to tickle guy" that they could be prompted to chat with each other instead of a guy or girl wanting to be tickled (a prompt which they could always simply deny).

I've also had some other ideas on this problem, but truthfully I think that even if someone picks to be tickled by a guy they wouldn't mind tickling back if the guy wanted that, and if they do have a problem with it you can always just sign off and then sign back on as a guy wanting to be tickled by a girl.

Other people leave your questions or comments and please E-Mail me or leave your E-Mail address here to try out the program. If a lot of people get this program it will be well worth it and much easier than chat rooms! Actually, I am VERY interested in pairing up with someone! Dallas and areas close by is completely dead, and I am alone and desperate...... however, I'm also rather weak in my computer skills.... will this mess with my computer at all? if there are bug will it cause damage? See, right now if I try to run something or install something that causes a problem on my computer I can call a friend and he may come over and help me out... but who do I call if my computer fritzes out now?

lol I see what you mean...

I see your concern, but the bugs I was talking about were bugs specifically for my program, not with windows or Winsock or any important programs that would mess up your computer.

Actually if there were any problems, they would most likely be server side (so I would get the error in my server program, and I would fix them you wouldn't have to do anything.)

So for anyone else out there that was worried about this program containing a virus or hurting their computer with bugs don't worry. I am constantly checking files for viruses and the program for sure is not infected with one, and the worse a bug it can have is if it simply gives you an error and closes itself, which you can always just reopen with no harm done.

Just to be safe though, if any problems with your computer do occur (which they won't!) you can always talk to me and I'll help you fix them 🙂.

I hope this answered a lot of people’s questions, and that more people will ask for the program now. Remember this program won't do any good unless there are a lot of people to pair up, it's like an instant messaging system...you need a lot of people for it to work well, because if there arn't a lot of people you won't have anyone to pair up with, or you might keep getting paired up with the same person. So anyone that is remotely{/I] interested ask me for a copy of the program and I will gladly give you one.

I'm very pleased...

Hey everyone whats up? I am very pleased to see that about 12 people have downloaded the program. I saw about 5 or 6 of you signed on today, and from what I could see 2 or 3 got paired up. The rest of them didn't, because not enough people have the program! The more people that download the program the better it will become! Again, I am glad to see that some people are taking an interest in the program, but we need more people to download it! When the program has about 20-50 users (which shouldn't be too hard considering the number of people signed up in this forum!) it should be extremely easy to find a partner. When this goal has been reached almost anyone can probably be able to sign on at almost any time and get partnered up immediatly! So please download the program at my website....my ftp is almost always up now because more people are trying to download it.
