Are these new?

No, these are actually about 9 years old. I'll give you the background. Years ago Hahathna and I both worked in mainstream comics. He was at Acclaim and I was at DC. Together we had a lot of art commissioned and I also did some myself for both our collections and his Legion of Superticklish heroines site. We had produced a Turok comic at the time so he was on a Turok kick. The first sketch was of the female lead Mayanna. I can't remember who did the pencils and inks, but the colors are mine.

I'm a fan of both Wonder Woman and Angela, so Hahathna got an artist to do that one for me. My colors.

The Cheshire Wonder Girl was a quick photoshop re-hash from a Circe Wonder Woman I had done by a female artist I knew in NY. Hahathna was interested in getting a Wondergirl done, and I banged this out as a layout rough for someone else to do. Don't think it ever went to final.

The last one with Wonder Woman and the German chick was another photoshop quickie. I actually ripped off the Wonder Woman Ivy piece that I had a pro friend of mine do (you've all seen it) Hey I used to own the original and sold it to Hahathna. Anyway, I used this one as a rough layout for a DC artist friend to do the final. Since he keeps a low profile, the final has never seen the light of day and it's staying that way for his sake. Okay, I'm a tease, the final is 10 times better than this rough, but I digress.

In the end, it's a sad case because when Hahathna's health got bad I always told him to not saddle his family with the collection. His sister knew what was up, but he never got around to spelling out contact info. He died of a heart attack a few years back. I'm not sure what happened to his original art. I doubt it sees the light of day again, if it hasn't been destroyed.

Word to the wise people. We all get older. I just turned 50 fist of the year and those of you who know me know I've had my share of health problems too. Remember, we all die. Keep your friends close and don't saddle your family with stuff they don't want to handle once you're gone.

All I know is I miss my friend very much. Every time I finish a cool pinup, I want to e-mail it and give him a call.
