ticklish head?

i was tickling my girlfriend and playfully started mussing up her hair, and she pulled away giggling saying it tickled. i did it in a sort of kneading motion and she was laughing like crazy. is this a strange, rare thing, or is this common and iv just never heard of it?

Anyway, yeah, I have heard of that. Someone taking their fingers softly across my head tickles. Has anyone ever heard of the thing where you "crack an egg" over someones head? Softly knock on the top of their head, then slowly run your fingers down the sides. Kinda tickles.
