Tights or stockings???

Can anyone tell me the difference between tights that cover the feet, and stockings, and nylons, and pantyhose???

LOL! I am being called upon to answer the female related questions?
Okay all your silly boys. Sit around in a circle around Mistress Nessonite and she will teach you the ways of the female.
Actually I have no idea. I know tights are generally opaque (not see through) and made of heavier material. As for the difference between stockings, nylons, and pantyhose I have no clue but I'll take a stab at it based solely on the names.
I'd say that nylons are made of nylon and not of silk.
Stockings would be two seperate pieces where pantyhose would come together and look like a pair of tights. Therefore I guess you could have nylons that were stockings or nylons that were pantyhose. I dont think "nylons" are a product by themselves.
There you have it.
To be honest I'm not the person to ask. I've never owned any of the aformentioned products except for the obligitory tights when I was a kid and that was rare for me.
I'm not really one for skirts or dresses. For a female I've never been particularly "feminine". I don't spend a lot of energy being vapid or girly. I prefer to just be myself, whatever that happens to be on a given day. I own exactly one dress which never comes out of the closet.

Being a non-native English speaker, I will defer to dictionary.com for the definitions:

Tights: n 1: skintight knit garment covering the body from the waist to the feet worn by acrobats and dancers and as stockings by women and girls

Stocking: n. (1) A close-fitting, usually knitted covering for the foot and leg made from nylon, silk, cotton, wool, and similar yarns. (2) An item resembling this covering.

Nylons: Stockings made of one of these synthetic materials (Any of a family of high-strength, resilient synthetic polymers, the molecules of which contain the recurring amide group CONH.)

To me, "tights" are made of a knitted fabric, while "nylons" are nylon stockings. "Stockings" usually means nylon hosiery to me, but could also include "tights." "Pantyhose," of course, are nylon stockings with a built-in "panty."

I love wearing nylon stockings, either with a garter or as pantyhose 🙂 It makes the guys go wild.

Nessonite: Well thank you for that description! But I'm dissapointed in hearing you've never owned them, they make you feet more ticklish! (or so my GF says!) Try them sometime!

Judging by my experience with wearing really thin sort of socks I have no doubt that nylons (or any of the other mentioned products) would make feet more sensitive.
In fact I was showing one of my quizzes to my husband a couple of weeks ago and he looked at the one question that mentions nylons and said "Nylons make you more ticklish? We'll have to get you some of those!"

Hi, Medik; I would guess that any slippery fabric would make the skin underneath more ticklish, since I have found that to be true with my tickle-slave. Hence, I like to catch him when he is wearing a slippery cotton t-shirt 🙂

LOL, Nessie; actually, you have influenced me too 🙂 I have attempted to create (in MS Paint, LOL!) a banner not unlike yours 🙂 I hesitate to post it because the photo of my face is still too recognisable, even after I slightly blurred it (I am very much in the closet in real life), but it has the soles of my spike heels on the left rather than bare soles, and my li'l face on the right 🙂
