Ladies and Gentlemen!

The final event in the much anticipated Tickle Olympics 2009 Competition has finally arrived!

A day later than planned due to problems with the equipment deliveries, here it finally is! If you have not followed this event before, or missed out some of the action, you can find a short recap and linkage to the earlier events by clicking here!

Without further delay I will now take you to the final event, which is reported live from the Tk Olympics Stadium by our own reporter John Scavenger.

After this will follow the official winner announcement, where you will hear who has won gold, who is going home with silver and who walks away with bronze. This will happen in the same thread, please check the post below this one tomorrow around the same time.

PS: There may be some speculation as to who has ended up first, second or third... if you do happen to manage to figure it out... please keep it to yourself for now, until the official announcement. PS: The fact that three contestants share the same final competition score was NOT engineered to be that way, it is a sole result of the way the dice rolled.

Enjoy!

Ilo.

Edit: I apologise for the quality problems in this picture. When I was talking about 'delayed deliverance of equipment', I wasn't completely sucking that out of my thumb. In fact, a few days ago I found out that my scanner was dying. It suddenly got 'stuck' in mid-scanning and I had to reboot the whole computer to get another try on which it hopefully decided to work better. Now that was a pretty old scanner, almost 10 years old, still used that old massive LPT type of cable, etc. So I got myself a new piece of equipment yesterday and I need to get used to it a bit still. Just found out that it was scanning my stuff in 200 dpi (instead of 300 what I usually do), so the quality of the drawings aren't as nice as you're used to from me yet. It can do a lot higher than that but I have to check from the manual where I should modify this exactly. Also, I made the mistake to have transparency enabled when colouring this picture which resulted in rather bad colouring around some of the edges. The low resolution didn't help with this, making things a bit blocky. The reward ceremony is also low on resolution (though I tried to fix it a little by upping the picture resolution while I was working on the scanned picture...) but only after this things should get better again. PS: the rewards themselves didn't require scanning and their quality is luckily not affected.

WINNERS AND AWARDS

Good afternoon, this is John Scavenger. We have ended up at the end of a six week long Tk Olympics Competition and boy has it been exciting!

And exciting it still is, for no less than THREE of the contestants are sharing the top score of 8 competition points! It is a three-way draw and there will be no more events, no tickle-offs, but no straw pulling either. For the official winner announcement and prize distribution I will hand the microphone over to the head-jury, Mister Matthew Moo!

(crackle…)

Good afternoon viewers and listeners, this is Matthew Moo, main jury of the Tk Olympics of the year 2009. I will be speaking for the entire jury team and begin by saying that we all immensely enjoyed this competition. It was an honor to do the judging for these piece by piece wonderful and beau-tiful ladies’ accomplishments.

Before I will explain how we the ties are untied and who will receive the gold, the silver and finally the bronze reward, I will start with the bottom three. All of these ladies tried their very best and please do not take their loss for a lack of determination. Being tickled, as we all know so well, can make even the easiest thing nearly impossible.

Our least fortunate contestant, or maybe I should say most generous contestant… in a way she gave away all her points to the others after all, is Emmi. She ended up on the third place during the pole climbing event and didn’t quite manage to pass her opponents in the other challenges.

The robust space lady called Koki fills the fifth place. While in total she received more jury points from us than Katie did, Katie passed her in the last round by receiving 3 additional com-petition points when winning the round. Koki aced the archery competition and received third place in two other events.

Katie, despite receiving first place for two events, ends up on the fourth place in the final standings, just outside the prize range. In the current situation an additional second place or two third places would have been required for her to see the stadium from the podium.

Our three remaining contestants are the big winners of this competition! In our eyes these three all did equally well, they received a total of 8 competition points. It is as John Scavenger already commented; a three-way tie. So no matter whatever position you ladies end up in, you can stick that into your pockets!

The way this is going to work is as follows. During the competition we have been individually giving the contestants points from 0 to 10 for each of the events. How many points each of you got in a single event did not matter once the event had ended. First place in an event was first place, no matter if you did just a little better than everyone else or won by a landslide. If you lost, it didn’t matter if you lost so badly that you hardly received points from us, or if you actually did pretty well but all others did better. Now that you three are tied, the total sum of points you have been given throughout the entire competition comes back into play!

Mercy, could you step forward please?

Dear Mercy, you showed everyone what you are really worth in the mud fight by winning the first place there! In both the pole climbing and figure skating event you dragged home the second place and finally third place in the archery competition. We have awarded you a total of… a hundred and forty nine jury points throughout the competition and this has earned you the plumeau d’argent! Or in case for those who don’t speak French, the silver feather duster! Please step onto the podium Miss Mew, you have conquered the second place!

Exciting, exciting! There is a full round of applause, stomping and cheering going through the stadium. We know that Mercy Mew is one of the audience’s favorites. The polls in the newspapers and on the Internet clearly showed that she has a lot of fans.

Miss Cali, would you please do us the favor of your elegant presence?

Dear Cali, as we all remember vividly, you truly shone in the pole climbing event, dragging home the first place. In archery and swimming you managed the second place and a third place in figure skating.

Miss Sarendra, could you also step forward please?

Dear Sarendra, you have shown us true elven grace, especially in your skating act. We will never forget how you conquered the aggressive tickling at your sides and delivered a show like a pro! First place for that event was well deserved! Also on the sky bridge and in the mud wrestling you showed what you were worth and received second place standing, after which you managed third place in the final event.

One of you is ending up on the third place, one of you will be the winner of this competition…

Ladies and gentlemen… The time for the final result has come…

The winner of the Tk Olympics 2009 is…

… with a total of a one hundred and fifty seven collected jury points…Miss Elfiness Sarendra! Congratulations, you have won the plumeau d’or! And this means that our fair lady Cali has received third place with her earned total of a one hundred and forty points!

This is John Scavenger again, speaking to you live from the Tk Olympics Stadium. As you can hear, the audience is going crazy and it is hard for me to raise my voice over them now, as the two remaining contestants are stepping onto the podium.

This is the end of a wonderful competition, which I hope you enjoyed as much as I did. Thank you all for watching and for listening. This was John Scavenger, reporting live. Take care and congratulations again to the winners!

I want a pair of flippers like that! My friend was thinking of going scuba diving but she hasn't got any, soo I was thinking I could get her some

Damn good thing they had those floater devices..i had to giggle as Mercy was going around in circles and then poor Emmi swimming in the opposite direction..How anyone managed to swim at all with all that tickling is well, they should all be winners for that..

Again another great event is now TT history and we await the outcome on tippy toes lol..

With our passel of bathing beauties going into (if not off) the deep end, each may claim it a personal victory for maintaining her sea legs! Six completions, a first for this contest, though some did far better than others! Katie ends this journey as she entered it: red hot! It may not be possible to swim away from your own feet, but she certainly gave it a mighty try! That rare instance in which extreme tickling acted as an accelerator rather than an anchor... if the event had called upon her to fly, she might have managed that too! Cali conquers the dunked-puss stereotype to claim second, though the judges seem to have penalized her an armload of style points. Hardly her fault... to have reached the goal at all through the tsunami of Katie's flailing flippers counts as impressive! Elves are characteristically light-footed, and I'm sure Sarendra could be happier about her third-place finish. Of course, even those headed west from the Grey Havens did so by boat... she's not a mermaid by any stretch, and can comfort herself that at least she ended up in the top half of the rankings! Koki, a lady armed with her own impressive floatation device, seems content to have settled into doldrums! Throughout, her focus has been more to enjoy the delicious fetish distractions then use them as a spur... a wonder, then, that she finished at all! If awards were being handed out for circumnavigating the pool, Mercy would have won hands down! Alas, that was far from the goal, and the snow mane pays for being easily distracted! Not as easily as unfortunate Emmi, though! Heading toward your own end-zone is the ultimate shame in football... the poor bunny-girl's similar faux pas must feel just as galling, especially after last week's victory! A rabbit's foot is traditionally good luck, but hers have brought her little but heartache! Small surprise, when they're being so unmercifully assaulted!

Most pleased and thrilled to find Mercy in medal contention! Will be all eager attention at tomorrow's presentation ceremony! For her sake, she better score gold... anything less, and she goes on a brutal training regimen, nothing but tickle torture morning, noon and night! Come to think of it, that may not be such a bad idea even if she does win the gold!

Maaaan... Looks like tickling works better than a cattle prod on Katie. Can't say I'm disappointed with how my elven avatar did. That early strong start really cinched things, I think. And now, to await the final ceremonies. So far, it's been one helluva competition Ilohnoh. Thanks for covering it for us. 😉

WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Please scroll up to the 2nd post in this thread to see who won the competition, who ended up 2nd and who ended up 3rd.

Congratulations to the winners!

If you won something, you'll find a picture of your prize in that same post. You are free to use it anywhere and for whatever you want. You can add it to your signature if you like, you are also allowed to rescale and edit it to be pasted onto a banner or something like that (as long as you don't change the names). You are allowed to remove the "Awarded by Ilohnoh" part if you want to. It's your prize.

Enjoy.

Warmest congratulations to every one of the athletes who took part in this first-ever Tickle Olympics! Each has displayed considerable skill and pluck, with memorable moments all her own; Mercy has had the greatest fun competing against you! She also wishes to offer heartfelt thanks for her beautiful plumeau d'argent: to all the judges; to John Scavenger, for his thrilling weekly play-by-play; and particularly to gracious Ilohnoh for his vision and hard work in conceiving and organizing this important event! This has been an experience Mercy will always remember!

Finally, hardy congrats to Sarendra for taking the top honors! Lookin' good in gold, girl!

I don't see a picture attached..

Yes, there's some problems with the attachments at this moment. Yesterday they still worked.

See at the top of the forums for the following note:
