Ladies and Gentlemen!
The final event in the much anticipated Tickle Olympics 2009 Competition has finally arrived!
A day later than planned due to problems with the equipment deliveries, here it finally is! If you have not followed this event before, or missed out some of the action, you can find a short recap and linkage to the earlier events by clicking here!
Without further delay I will now take you to the final event, which is reported live from the Tk Olympics Stadium by our own reporter John Scavenger.
After this will follow the official winner announcement, where you will hear who has won gold, who is going home with silver and who walks away with bronze. This will happen in the same thread, please check the post below this one tomorrow around the same time.
PS: There may be some speculation as to who has ended up first, second or third... if you do happen to manage to figure it out... please keep it to yourself for now, until the official announcement. PS: The fact that three contestants share the same final competition score was NOT engineered to be that way, it is a sole result of the way the dice rolled.
Enjoy!
Ilo.
Edit: I apologise for the quality problems in this picture. When I was talking about 'delayed deliverance of equipment', I wasn't completely sucking that out of my thumb. In fact, a few days ago I found out that my scanner was dying. It suddenly got 'stuck' in mid-scanning and I had to reboot the whole computer to get another try on which it hopefully decided to work better. Now that was a pretty old scanner, almost 10 years old, still used that old massive LPT type of cable, etc. So I got myself a new piece of equipment yesterday and I need to get used to it a bit still. Just found out that it was scanning my stuff in 200 dpi (instead of 300 what I usually do), so the quality of the drawings aren't as nice as you're used to from me yet. It can do a lot higher than that but I have to check from the manual where I should modify this exactly. Also, I made the mistake to have transparency enabled when colouring this picture which resulted in rather bad colouring around some of the edges. The low resolution didn't help with this, making things a bit blocky. The reward ceremony is also low on resolution (though I tried to fix it a little by upping the picture resolution while I was working on the scanned picture...) but only after this things should get better again. PS: the rewards themselves didn't require scanning and their quality is luckily not affected.
