I was on the TMF for the last few hours, conversating with people about the (hopefully) upcoming upload of the Carmen Electra extended tickle from the Howard Stern ppv, when suddenly any forum listing came up as the following text:

Owned By XioN

Greetz To Blazin

Renegade Ownz!


Explains itself.

F***ing teenagers.

Well, it looks like the people who did it exploited a vulnerability in DigiChat. That's a shame. Software that costs $1200 per year should really be secure.

Maybe I should start posting here instead.
 
I dont know what the deal is yet....Im sure Myraids over there is all over it right now. Im certain things will be back up and running after a check of everything.
No one is immune to hackers, I know of many other sites that have had it happen at least once. Just people bored, find a site a night and find a way to hack into it. Its like a game to them, nothing personal....just a stupid game they like to play.

I'm familiar with the tools they use (computer science major)... and they may have deleted all of the rooms, and with that comes every thread, every clip, every pic, GONE.

I certainly hope not.......I really do. I think they have an image stored on a backup somewhere, I know they have been doing a lot of work on the forum lately due to an increase of people accessing it at the same time.
 
The reasons for people hacking sites are many and who knows why they do it. The most worrying part of a forum being hacked really is the fact that they can harvest ip addresses for users through it, and then add those 'currently online' ip addresses to their port scanners looking for computers that aren't secure.

Why would they do this? Well, other than for kicks there are also financial reasons they would do so. Namely so they can distribute malware/spyware and run programs on users computers - normally to deliver spam or more viruses. Sad, but true. 🙁

I happen to have some security on my system that is actually waiting for such a thing. And hopefully the idiot that tries something on my system will get a nice BIOS bomb for their trouble.

I'd love to see them try to do something with my computer...

They've got to be 16 year olds or so, seeing as the attempted l33t speak and the fact that the best they can do is the DigiChat loophole... so they're probably assuming that we all use Windoze like them.

I'm writing a back-tracing shell script as we speak that will execute if any IP tries tunneling through my firewall. I'm almost hoping they try.
 
I agree. I just hope they can get things up and running again.

And soon. I know it's probably taboo to talk about on this board, but this Carmen Electra 30 min. of fun could be the biggest mainstream video yet.

Sorta hypocritical, if you ask me.
 
I just spoke with Jeff at the TMF. It looks like the TMF did not lose any data. The forum should be back up within the next 48 hours.

This type of person has developed what I like to call "e-muscles." They're walking tall as long as they are hiding behind a screen, like cowards. Have them face to face and they tremble before you. I can't wait until the day I get to eliminate these people. .30-06 and a bayonet to the abdomen.
 
I have talked to a few people at the TMF and understand also that the forum will be back up in the next day or so.
Have faith.....and have a prayer for those that hacked the TMF. they will be dealt with.

dang i read this a minute too late i jus sent an email to the owner of tmf asking wut happened dont i look damn. Dumb ass hackers dont even have real names.
