The TMF has really has become something like the United Nations of Ticklefans! According to statistics, we had visitors from 93 different countries which could be identified by their domains. More may be hiding behind .com, .net, and .org domains, or other domains which couldn’t be identified by the server (over 25% unknown!).

We had visitors from exotic countries like Fiji, Brunei Darussalam, Nepal, or Faroe Islands; ticklers and ticklees from very small countries like San Marino, Andorra, Malta, and Gibraltar came here; even some Arabian ticklefans have visited us, from Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, and Egypt.

Now I’m still waiting to welcome our first visitor from the Vatican State… 😛

Good point, Hal! The TMF has become a worldwide phenomenon, which just goes to show that tickling is universally loved! 😀

P.S. The Vatican will come around eventually. 😉

Actually..... In one of the books about the life and ministry of Karol Woitila (AKA Pope John Paul 2), there is a story about how he encouraged teens with whom he worked to use tickling as a means of showing affection and avoiding being tempted in other areas. For some, I'm sure it would increase rather than decrease that temptation. But, it's the thought that counts. lol

Some of the hits we've had have actually traced back to the Vatican City as well.

DDD - Yes, I am....though I don't know how acurate that particular book was. I know he worked with youth groups during his early ministry and that they went on lots of outings....camping and such. I know he tried to talk with them about issues as they hiked. But, though I have no doubt that sexuality was among those issues, I haven't seen anywhere else about that particular bit of "advice".

Mantis...there is at least one other who I used to talk with in the old chat room...unless it was you under a different handle. I think one way for people to be able to connect with others closer to them would be for people to put a location in their profile so that when you post, others know at least a general area. Just a thought.

TickleMantis, we've had over 2000 hits from New Zealand so far. This means if you've visited us less frequently than about 4 times a day, there is at least one other Kiwi around here. Maybe even more if he/she visits us under one of the 'unknown' domains, or under .com .

Not meaning to be picky, but Dar-es-Salaam is the capital of Tanzania.

So you can add Tanzania to your list, of coutries, but knock off Dar-es-Salaam. 🙂

Sorry to contradict you, Leb: The official state name for the Sultanate of Brunei is "Brunei Darussalam". The capital of Tanzania is Daressalam. Both expressions mean the same: House of Peace.

Literally they mean "House of Peace", but they actually mean, "House of Islam", that is, those areas of the world that have been conquered for the Islamic religion, as opposed to Dar al Harb (sp?), "House of War"--those areas yet to be conquered.

Don't take that "peace talk" too seriously!
