TMF Software Inexperience on my part

Can somebody explain how to change my posting. I get an email informing me an answer was posted on TMF, with a link. I click the link and go to the answer. I click reply and it asks for my signin and password. I give it and up comes a screen. Will this screen be a reply screen? I did it the other day and somehow it was not a reply, it started a new thread, which was not my intention.

cookies?

does your security software accept cookies (or have an option to)? If you have no cookie from TMF on your computer, it will ask every time. Check your settings and set it to allow the cookie to be set. As for the reply vs. new thread problem...you may simply have clicked over too far and hit the wrong button. If you're ever unsure, the top of the form should read "post reply" and top of page should read "reply to topic". Hope this helps!
