1.) What was the weather like in your area on Halloween Night?
It was perfect! On any other day, I'd be happy for rain, because it keeps me cool at work when I'm in and out of the truck runnin' around, but I wanted to make sure my son got some quality trick-or-treat time, and he hit the MOTHERLOAD!
2.) Did you celebrate Halloween by watching any scary movies throughout the month? -- Which ones?
We watched
Dawn of the Dead. Not for the whole month, just the other night. My wife loves the thought of a zombie apocalypse, and it makes me wanna play
House of the Dead. Anybody notice that some of the most accurate shooters in movies are people in zombie movies who have no prior shooting experience?
3.) When you think of candy, what's the first product that pops into your head?
Reese's peanut butter cups! Duh!
😛
4.) Top 5 favorite scary movies?
If you mean "scary", I couldn't tell ya, because I haven't found horror movies to be scary since I was a kid, and the mind-fuck ones don't do it, either. If you just mean favorite in the genre, though, let's see...
1.
Dawn of the Dead (the new one, with high-speed zombies)
2. The original
Saw (the ending caught me off guard, which doesn't ever really happen.)
3.
Poltergeist
4. Any
Leprechaun movie before
Leprechaun in Space They're not scary, just funny. I like Warwick Davis being a witty, evil little monster who says vulgar things in rhyme.
5. Any
Nightmare on Elm Street movie, for similar reasons to why I like
Leprechaun. Freddy Krueger may be a pedo, but he did say some funny shit! Also, the idea of being able to kill people while they're in the most vulnerable state of sleep, taking advantage of their fears, is pretty horrifying.
5.) Which do you prefer?: Psycho [[1960]] or The Shining [[1980]]
Ugh... I'd hate to disrespect the classics.
The Shining never did it for me. It's what I consider a "mind-fuck" horror. When I finally watched it, all the stupid imagery that was supposed to be considered scary just made me confused. I'm sorry, but I'm a geek. I want answers in my movie, and some sort of closure. After I finished that movie, I was left with nothing but questions, such as "WTF?" Out of these two, I'm gonna say
Psycho, because that could actually HAPPEN. Hotels are scary enough for the modern day germaphobe who has to worry about bed bugs, semen/urine stained sheets, and horrible maid service (cleaning your glass after cleaning your toilet!). Throw in a tranny murderer, and that's definitely a scary experience!
6.) What's your favorite part of Thanksgiving?
I dunno. Having a day to reflect on what I appreciate in life doesn't compel me to actually do it more than I already would, so I'm just gonna say... cranberry sauce?
7.) What is your favorite Thanksgiving day dish?
Anything you can throw brown gravy on.
8.) What is your opinion of Black Friday?
It's gonna be a LONG, HARD DAY at work that day! Added retail stops for the holidays, more bank business, shopping traffic... I just pray that nobody tries to do anything stupid to me or any of my coworkers that day.
9.) What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?
I seriously can't remember!
10.) What is the last thing you've given someone?
I gave my son his first taste of egg nog with his breakfast this morning, and it's official. He's a fan!
