1. Who was one of the most influential people in your life growing up?
Mother or father. Hard to say who had more influence, although one was definitely around more than the other.

2. Who would you say is your best friend and can you name 2 funny memories with that person?
Do I have a single best friend? I don't really know. I have a number of very close friends, but I don't know if I have a single best friend. So no way to answer. =(

If someone were sleeping in the same room, I like to have a fan on me all night. That annoys some. My perpetual need for cleanliness might also prove problematic. I suspect the biggest source of friction would be my total aversion to parties, drinking, and the like, as I'd not want that from my roommate.

5. If you could "create" your own gathering, what would you call it? [[Since it's apparently the thing to do around here. =p]]
HisDivineShindig. I'm sure I could think of better, but that's what came to mind.

6. What are 6 things you are looking forward to most about summer?
1. No more homework (at least for a time).
2. (Perhaps) being well rested for a change.
3. No more worries that flights will be canceled because of snow.

Honestly, I can't think of more than three. Nothing is happening this summer that I am particularly happy about.

7. If you had to put a motto on a shirt, what would it be and why that one?
I don't wear shirts with logos or lettering on them. If I had to put something, it would be "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" on the front and then "And if you'd have them do ill to you, do good anyway" on the back.

8. You're allowed to have one exotic animal in your home as a pet. What's it gonna be?
If I could manage to keep them alive, fish. I like fish, although I dare not get any more for fear of me killing them. But, some nice, exotic fish would be nice.

9. What are you enjoying most about your life right now?
I am enjoying the fact that being in touch with folks more has seen me falling asleep in much less time than usual. (under an hour versus upwards of two)

10. Who do you talk to the most here on the TMF?
Hard to say. In VMs, bugman, for we have a long-standing food war. 😀 In PMs, probably MTP Jeff or Myriads, mostly because of moderation duties. Elsewhere? No one in particular. I don't talk much on the forum.

John Lydon a.k.a. Johnny Rotten. My older brother brother brought home the Sex Pistol's Never Mind the Bollocks album when it first came out here, and I inherited it after he moved on to other music. Johnny Rotten appeared to live his life the way he wanted to, without giving a rat's ass about what others think, and so do I.

2. Who would you say is your best friend and can you name 2 funny memories with that person?
Amanda, my partner, is my best friend. The first funny memory is when she discovered the TMF on my computer, and her reaction wasn't holy crap, you have a fetish! but rather, I've been here before. She was, and still is, a TMF lurker, albeit now she does it over my shoulder. The second involved a pole-dancing exercise class, a sexy Saturday Night, and a pole that wasn't designed to bear any weigh whatsoever.

Me too. I cannot sleep without a fan, even in the wintertime, a lot of people think I'm nuts. 😛



1. Who was one of the most influential people in your life growing up? I would say my dad. He's just a force that you cannot ignore. Especially when he's yelling at you, but I never doubted that he loved my brothers and me. He always wanted the best for us and always taught us about what was important in life.

2. Who would you say is your best friend and can you name 2 funny memories with that person? My best friend is Megan; she's someone I know I can go to no matter what and talk about whatever.

One funny memory I have was my birthday. My friends and I had stopped at McDonald's before going bowling. I went up to Megan and just randomly said: "Wham, bam, thank you ma'am." Her jaw dropped then she started laughing along with me.

Another was a party I hosted when we were in high school. The handle to my bathroom door is a handle with a lock that all you need is a penny to unlock from the outside. On the inside, you have to turn it, but if someone's holding it, you can't unlock it no matter what. She had gone to use the bathroom and to play a small prank on her, I held the handle. She couldn't get out; she was yelling at me that she couldn't get out. I kept asking her if she was turning the lock and she said she couldn't turn it. I eventually let go and she got out. 😛

Hmm, I don't think I have any weird habits that would make it difficult for someone to live with me. 1. Who was one of the most influential people in your life growing up?
My mommy was the most positive influence in my life. She taught me how to be strong, determined and independent.

My dad was also very influential. He taught me not to take any shit from anyone, and how to kick some ass. He also is the source of my trust issues.

2. Who would you say is your best friend and can you name 2 funny memories with that person?
I happen to own the best vanilla in the entire world. Her name is Alysson, and she's exactly like me

Memory #1: We traveled Europe together when we were 16. One morning we were in a hurry and she was not wanting to wake up. Our conversation went something like this:
Lyz: Alysson, c'mon get up! We're going to see Big Ben today!
Alysson: Who's he?
Lyz: *stares in disbelief*

Memory #2: We saw our first real, live penis together. We were having a sleepover at her house, and the boys that lived down the street snuck over. We were all goofing around on her side porch (this enclosed addition off of her kitchen were we slept) and all of a sudden one of the boys whipped it out! We were probably 12 years old and astonished. When we woke up the next morning we just looked at eachother and said in unison, "It was huge..."

I'm a little neurotic about leaving lights on when you're not in a room. Oh, and I like it COLD. People are constantly bitching about how cold my apartment is, to the point that I actually turn the heat up if I know I'm having company for more than a couple of hours. I keep the windows open at night until it's too hot. I honestly think I spend more electricity keeping it cool in the summer than I do keeping it warm in the winter.

I dunno - Skippy-palooza. Ask me when it's not 5am LOL

1.) NEST

5.) Having the windows open at home (I haaaaaate how stuffy it gets in the winter)

Right now? Nada mucho. Lot of stress. Lot of bullshit. I guess I am enjoying my friends, though, and the relationships that I'm cementing. Times when your whole life seems to be upside down - between problems with family, work, illness, drama and relationshits - seem to be the best times to find out who your real friends are

My mom.

My bestie Kristin! She's amazing and we've had so many awesome times together but if I had to pick two, I'd go with our "Let The Night Take Us" night, which was a few months ago and soooo epic! And then I'd probably go with the time that we were wondering along the road at 3am, drunk of course, looking for chickens. Don't ask. 😛

- NEST.

- Riding with all the windows down in my car.

1. Who was one of the most influential people in your life growing up?
Me. I didn't really have any influental people when I grew up... kinda just did my own thing. My parents made information available to me when I was curious (bibles, science books, etc), but then they let me figure things out by myself.

2. Who would you say is your best friend and can you name 2 funny memories with that person?
Andreas, my drinking buddy and brother-in-arms! 😎

The most classic memory with him was when we were drunk during class, but I've told that story on here a million times already.

Another funny memory that's also from school was when we made this.

4. Do you have any weird habits that might make it difficult for someone to live with you [[at least in the beginning]] ?
Not really, unless you have an issue with me becoming "The I Love You Guy" if I drink too much. But just don't encourage me to throw too many parties at home and that won't be a problem either; I'll just harrass random taxi drivers instead! 😀

Huh, well that would be Sweed since we PM back and forth every day. I talk to Nikki and Buggy as well, and if we count conversations off the forum itself then also Aaron (Leafy), Rú, K-Skate, and more recently Tom (Texastickler) through various IM's. I also email back and forth with lisa22. Wish I could talk more to Twinny as well, but she has a busy. 🙁

My absolute best friend is my buddy Clay from College. But he lives out in Vancouver now, so we dont' get to hang out very often 🙁 But thanks to the wonders of the internet, we're in touch all the time 😛

Lots of funny memories, hard to nail just two... lol. Well, one has to do with a near boat accident up north from here and another has to do with our beachcombing experience when I went out west, lol... I won't elaborate, but trust me 😀

I really don't have just one best friend. But If I had to pick, It'd be my once upon a time next door neighbor. We went to this metal show one time, she and I both dressed to the nines, pig tails the whole bit , we all crammed in her and her husbands car with her brother and some dude, and sang Hannah Montana songs at the tops of our lungs. Nothing says scary like people dressed gothic singing disney tunes at a red light for strangers.
