The problem is that there are by FAR a lot more men here than women, and unfortunately most of them are quite vocal about finding someone to be with. If anyone makes the mistake of posting that they are a woman, they will soon be bombarded with Pm's and IM's. Unintelligent ones, such as "OMFG YOU WANNA CYBER TICKLE???" This is horrible for the community as it alienates half of the populous. Sucks, I know, but there's not much we can do about it. Just look through the personals section to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Anytime there is a woman, even if she specifically states she is looking for another woman, she will be harassed to no end by the masses. 🙁
Personally, I rarely IM other people. I figure that if they want to talk they will IM me. I've met my share of lesbians, online and off, and they are really nice people. Just because they play for the other team doesn't mean you guys can't be great friends. And even if they are lesbians, sometimes they still enjoy tickling guys from time to time. I suppose it all depends on how comfortable she is with you.
Either way, That's just my 2 cents. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. 😀
