The thought of attending a gathering for the first time can INDEED be scary!! This was my first gathering, and you can ask Njjen, GuitarPete, QBWeaver, or Myraids about how petrified I was about taking that step and actually attending. I kept a few of them up till the wee hours of the morning many nights, seeking support and reassuring conversations that everyone would be very friendly, and that I would be safe and accepted. They convinced me enough for me to take that step, and once I finally met everyone face to face, all my fears and uncertainties went RIGHT out the door!!
It TRULY is a very happy, fun, family like atmosphere. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming, and you will feel like you've been doing this for years within an hour of the party starting. The regulars go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, and they do everything they can to make sure no one is left out or feeling secluded. You would be amazed at how wonderful and fun they really are!!!
If you are thinking about taking that step and attending a gathering, don't hesitate! You will NOT be dissapointed. You have nothing to lose, and you have a fantastic fun filled weekend, plus LOTS of honest, real life, long term friends to gain!
