I just got back from seeing it in the theater, and I must say, it is not too shabby. Not too shabby at all. Of course, it can't stack up to Halloween I, or even Halloween II, but it is pretty entertaining in a trashy slasher kind of way. The guy who played Michael Myers was really good, and the kills were excellent, with spooky atmosphere and even some actual suspense to back them up. I recommend it.

I live in the UK and want to see this when it comes out here.
I went to see H20, and I saw the original Halloween when I was 6, and loved it ever since.

I am also going to see JASON-X (Friday 13th part 10) when it's released. Looks really cheesey, but to hell with it, I'm gonna see it! 😀

Damn straight, that's exactly what I thought when I heard about Jason X. Turns out it wasn't that bad, either.

Renny, I'm a huge Halloween (Michael Myers fan) and H20 sucked so bad that I was in a bad mood for a while. Then when I heard the new Halloween was out, I was thinking, please make it cool again.

Now I saw Jason X for kicks and it started out good the first 15-20 minutes into it, I actually thought they were going to get a serious scary movie story going and then it went to..umm...hell.
I just said oh well, back to the cheezy Jason we saw the last 10 times. Still hoping on the new Halloween, will see it soon.

The new Halloween is not out here in the UK I think. I saw Jason X and thought it was average. DK is right in saying the begining is cool, cause it is, very action packed and old school Friday 13th. The bit at the end with 'Virtual Reality' Camp is great also. The characters (expect for Jason) are overally annoying and act like they should be in an episode of Friends.

I saw Resident Evil too, and I thought it was bloody great! The closest thing to a Romero Zombie film which isn't one. Top notch Horror!

Sorry, I didn't like Resident Evil at all. My biggest gripe is it didn't have the one thing that makes even bad zombie movies bearable for me: GORE. All the violence was either obviously computer-generated and bloodless [namely the laser-slicing scene] or offscreen. I did't see the zombies eat anybody! Also, the characters weren't well-drawn or even memorable. The whole thing was just 'blah' to me.

Yea

I agree, the laser part was absolutely horrible. I thought it was good, other than that though. 😎

i saw resident evil last night...

...for the second time. i liked it.
i also liked holloween h2o, so go figure.
i am looking forward to seeing both the new jason movie, and the new holloween movie.
hey darkknight i'll ask again; when are we going to that place in chicago to tickle the girls there???
