Is there anyone out there who remembers a guy named Tobias Hackner who lived in Los Angeles? Back in the 80's before the Internet, before tickling videos were ever made, Hackner used to sell audio casettes of tickle torture. He advertised in magazines like The Fetish Times. I was wondering if anyone knows if he is still around or if he is an active member of the tickling community. I don't know where he got those ladies to tickle, but some of his tapes were pretty good. Some weren't so good. Some years ago when I was going through a stupid period of feeling guilty about my tickling fetish and had a "purge" I threw out all of his tapes that I had. I was wondering if anyone out there has any that they would be willing to either sell me or make copies for me to purchase at a fair price? Sure video is better, but I guess I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about those old tapes and angry at the memory of having thrown anything away that has to do with tickling.

Blast From the past

Hey steve I have a lot of TB stuff, I am in the uk but I do not recall how I got in contact with him ,Ihave some of his audio tapes which are uniformally appalling in quality and i have a lot of the stories and art work which are better value. I have no idea if he is still operating but I would think he is not, based on the fact that I have been on theTMF site for about 6 moonths and your thread is the first reference I have come across about him. Having said that, a few weeks back I put his name in a search engine and up came the address but this may of course be out of date info.I have seen a lot of TB,s stuff on other web pages in the last 6 months but never any reference to him as the source. My first contact with him must be at least 15 years ago but he was not very forth coming with any personal details so there is not much I can tell you other the fact he was very expensive to deal with! but he was the first evidence for me that i was not alone on this planet.

Don't get me started

Yeah and some of his tapes were mine which I traded for crap from him and he went around and sold it for hundreds of dollars. Also, he probably sold more of my stories than anything and traded lousey ones to me. Most of the stories that still might be circulating that I wrote you would never know because I rarely signed them back then.

He was the biggest rip-off in the business. I once sent him a photo and he sent me a horrible poloroid copy of a photo he had. To make matters worse, he asked for that back!!!!!

Max,

Thank you for sharing that. I ordered a batch of stories from him for about $50 (this was over 15 years ago--very expensive) and I got poor quality photocopies for my money. I sent him a polite note about it and in return I got back a raving, mean-spirited, nasty letter. He got no more of my business even though he was practically the only game in town.

Yeah...Don't get me started either. But in all fairness, that's where I got my first glimpses of BAC & Mandell art. As Triple D says, at that time he was the only game in town.

I read somewhere that some of the audio tapes he sold were recordings of some of the early Cal-Star videos.

Big raspberry.

I also got my start with correspondance with Tobias in the late 80's. I Traded Stories with him, (anybody remember Uncle Pasha?) and recieved some that were reasonable Dean Koontz pastiches. Yeah, he probably ripped off people, but he was also a pioneer in a sexual proclivity with little respect in the mainstream. I sent him more money than I could I afford then, and now I can find anything I like for free. I do remember a correspondance where he related the response he got with an ad in MS. Magazine, an ad pulled after one issue due to a perception of his material as demeaning to women and politically incorrect. He also reported a response far greater than that from Fetish Times. I've since paid Bac for material I recieved in poorly photocopied form and Dean Koontz never did answer my letters(don't know why). If Tobias ever does stumble on TMF I hope he looks on it as homage and not infringement. I'm glad the community is here. It's less lonely.
