hi!
I would like to know if anyone knows what kind of pointed tools especially or brushes are good for tickling? because i recently tickled a good friend(f) and it seems that only brushes and pointed tools works, like the pointed side of a feather! because the soft side of the feather, my fingers, paintbrushes doesn't work on her!
thanks

Try the following on the soles (scraped, not jabbed):

The tines of a fork.

Chopsticks.

A dry ballpoint pen. (Or one full of ink, that you can wash off later.)

Knitting needles.

Have fun!😀

thanks but i don't understand what sort of Chopsticks did yoy say!

The ordinary type of chopsticks used for eating food (especially in Chinese restaurants) can produce a definite tickling sensation when scraped along the sole.

That brush the Japanese use. "Fude" or something similar. It looks like it would work VERY well from what I've seen.

A comb or brush with firm but not scratchy teeth works well. The finger pics that people use for playing guitar and banjo can be good. If she responds better to a firmer touch (which it sounds like she does) anything firm would likely work with the right pressure applied.

Also, let us not forget...

...tools that vibrate! Electric toothbrushes, massage implements, novelty pens that wiggle... sigh! IS it time for NEST again, yet?

Far as I can tell, this:

John, which kind of hemostat do you use? I would imagine the soft grip type would work nicely. But, the regular one, I'm not sure of.

Emery boards are a fav for us...especially across the tips of the toes......

Did someone say NEST...?

Yikes!

Looks potentially painful! I guess anything can tickle when used properly, though, eh?

thank you guys but i didn't understood anything !
can you tell me or show me what is :
A hemostat
a small clamp
Emery boards
and what does taht mean "When run briskly up ticklish soles laughter is bound to follow"!
thanks it's because i speak french and i don't know technical terms

😛

The picture in my post on the previous page is a hemostat.
Small Clamp: something that can be used to secure or grab something else.
Emery Boards: Ask me not

And "When run briskly up ticklish soles laughter is bound to follow"! is that if you brush the hemostat up and down the soles of a ticklish foot, the person will laugh.

thanks but your pivture doesn't tell me anything i ve just see a pair of scissors!

I'm glad some people know what a hemostat is . I've never used one for tickling - for obvious reasons. However, I have used the pointy end of my reflex hammer - designed to test other things (see Babinsky). I would never use it on a patient, but on a fellow classmate - that's a different story.

For more household items, I've used blunt kitchen knives, ink pen cases (the ones where you click pen on-off), hairbushes, rubber policemen (used in chem labs), and the list goes on.

hum i still dont understand what's a hemostat!!
a real picture does not exist anywhere??
and a rubber policemen what's that?

ok, a hemostat is a clamp like device shaped like scissors. The handles lock together and the blades are flat with ridges to grip whatever you are clamping. It is often used in surgery and in anatomy labs to hold and keep stuff outta the way.

Now, the rubber policeman is not the real name I think. I'm sure it has a proper name but that's what we used to call it. It's nothing more than a glass rod with a rubber-fitted tip with a broad angled border that comes to a point. We used it kinda like a broom to work with powdery stuff. here's the best pic i could find

I knew the first time I used one of these that it would make a great tickling tool - I lifted a few for personal use (shhhh).
hope that helps
