Trade ticklish for numbness

Second such thread I'm reading and I don't get it. Numbness is nowhere considered a good thing and ticklishness is like universally considered a good thing here. Now, I'm more a pure 'ler and have less need for ticklishness but why trade any of it away?

Simple numbness can be a bliss for those who are ticklish and don't like being tickled so essentially you'd lose all ticklishness but you'd only be able to feel pleasure however you don't have to trade if you were offered but would you?

The only such people I can think of are pure 'lers. However, even for a (non-switch) 'ler ticklishness can be advantageous. When a 'lee wants to get tickled and communicates it to the 'ler by prodding the 'ler for example. In many scenarios that way sexier than just plainly saying 'I want to get tickled'. Or just knowing what sensation the 'lee is going through, that's another advantage of ticklishness for a 'ler.
