Trading Spaces and other addictive TV shows.

Ok, so have never been one to watch much tv....bt I've come across a new addiction.

Trading Spaces, Surprise by Design, While you were Out...etc. For those who don't know, these are all show that involve remodeling a house...or a room...etc. Some with the knowledge of the homeowners, some without! LOL

I cannot stand to miss these shows lately! I'm been trying to figure out the appeal and I can't nail it. Got me to wondering if the idiot box lures any of you to it for a specific show???

When we were in the midst of building the house last year, those were "have to see" shows, because they provided ideas and were entertaining in and of themselves as well. I try not to miss The Sopranos, Raymond, Monk and Hack....and that's about it for me. I 'll grab ER if it's on sometimes and I'm not on the puter. Q

I watch Trading Spaces as often as possible. It's my favorite show. I've implemented several ideas into my own home.

I took this year - 2002 - to do lots of work on the house and basically upgrade, change, replace, repaint, relandscape, re-everything possible that I could do. Most of the work is done except painting the outside of the house and lots of the ideas came not just from our own ideas but from Trading Spaces.

Frank would be SO proud of my kitchen with the new floors, new paint, new plumbing, appliances and lighting. Gen would LOVE the living room with the new paint, shelves, entertainment center and the swag over the fireplace and the curtains. I'm no longer afraid of color!

I obviously am so addicted to the show I know everyone on it.

I hate to admit it, but i really like trading spaces. I guess its the appeal from seeing how they can change things with only 1000 dollar budget. Plus the interaction between the designers and homeowners is often interesting to watch. Also seeing the reaction as the homeowners are taken back to there places to see the finished product is kewl. One lady even cried she hated hers so much...lol...An interesting note. Pretty much all the designers and the 2 hosts have theatrical backgrounds. They know how to play to the camera and make it interesting.

See? This is why I'm here..hehe. Telling the world I like tickling is no big thing, but admitting that I LOVE that show was causing me stress!! LOL Glad to see even Prime "fessin' up."

I'm the same Jan and Q. I've used several ideas from the show in my own home and studio. But, have either of you made little "Frank-People" yet? 😀

it`s all my girlfriends fault but.......

i`m addicted to 7th heaven and everwood,i have no idea why.i just have to be home monday nights to see these shows

of course i also can`t miss the sopranos,OZ,the wire,the shield,and nhl 2 nite.
