This is my first attempt at writing, and as debut I decided to use two of my favorite comic book characters from DC Universe.
So far this will be an one-shot story, but if I feel that it needs a continuation I'll post it, so if you liked this story expect for possibly more.
*****
In some parallel dimension completely unknown by ordinary people, two super-heroines find themselves stuck in a trap that they haven’t thought that it could happen with them. They laugh hysterically and uncontrollably as feathers get inside the straitjackets that they are restraining them and then tickle their armpits, midriffs, torsos and navels. If that wasn’t worse enough for them, another swarm of mechanic feathers also tickle their naked feet and necks, and there is nothing they can do stop them.
The super-heroines are Diana Lance, also known as the powerful and famous Wonder Woman, and Zatanna Zatara, a skillful young magician whose powers are partially the ones responsible for this mess where Diana and Zatanna can’t escape now.
“Ahahahahahahahaha, ehehehehehehehe, ahhhh!” screamed Zatanna as squirmed in her bonds, “I am sorry Diana, I never imagined that things would end in this way, ahahahahahahahahahahahahaa!”
“It is okay Z, ohohohohohohoho!” yelled Diana, “I should prepare myself in case of something dangerous could happen to us, ohohohohohoho! If there is anyone to blame, should be me, hehehehehe! I was too careless hahahahahaha!”
They were inside a padded room whose cushioned walls and floor had an oppressively blank color, and they were restrained in straitjackets whose look was quite unusual: Design-wise they were just like the average kind of straitjacket used in asylums, but in the other hand the fabric that composed them were of pink color, there were yellow happy faces scattered all over the suit and printed in the torso area it could read “Be Insane is Fun and Healthy!” Aside the straitjackets, their captors had the idea of restraining their legs as well so they couldn’t realize an escape through kicks, and so they were bound in the ankles with a pair of medical belts.
Having super-human abilities, Diana and Zatanna could get away of that trouble rather easily, but much to their dismay it was told them that the straitjackets contained a certain device that nullified that super-strength and magic powers. As the orderlies responsible for their restraining explained, they weren’t the first ones of that place with abilities like that, and as soon as they were transferred to their cell they discovered their captors weren’t lying at all.
“For the love of…!” exclaimed Diana horrified, as she tried to break out of her restraints, only to realize the sleeves of the straitjackets remained intact and tightly buckled up.
“I can’t free myself!”
“What?” exclaimed Zatanna.
“My powers seem to have gone! I can’t break the buckles that are holding this garment!”
“So those bozos weren’t really bragging that these straitjackets nullify our powers? This is unbelievable!”
As a master of escapology, Zatanna tried to get out of her straitjacket using this technique that she used several times. However, she soon discovered that this, too, were useless against that type of straitjacket.
“This can’t be!” Zatanna began to struggle desperately, “I never have seen something like this!”
“Don’t lose your calm Z, I will think in…”
Before Diana could have a chance to say the rest, the cell was suddenly invaded by red flying feathers that the heroines couldn’t see from where they came from. They surrounded the two women, and minutes later the room was crowded of insane laughter.
As they laughed without stop and struggled repeatedly, the two captive heroines remembered how that horrible situation began. Diana re-called Zatanna calling her to go to the magician’s house to help her in an important task.
“And can you elaborate more what you want me to help you?” asked Diana.
“I am about to travel to the Fifth Dimension, and I need to go with someone else while I am there.”
“What do you want to do in the Fifth Dimension in the first place, Z?” inquired Diana.
As most of many super-heroes knew, the Fifth Dimension was known as the residence of incredibly inconvenient yet monstrously powerful deities like Mr. Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite. No one with their reason in place would dare to go to the Fifth Dimension, unless it was extremely important.
“I am detecting some disturbance in the psychic aura lately, and after making a research I realized this is coming from the Fifth Dimension.” responded Zatanna.
“Hmm… Did you contact the other members of the League?”
“Doctor Fate is already investigating along with Bruce and the Phantom Stranger, and just now I reported Superman right about this. I asked him if I could go ahead and help in the investigations, and he suggested me to not go by myself before I found Fate and Bruce the Stranger.”
“I see… Very well Z, I’ll be there right away.”
One hour later, Diana was in Zatanna’s home. She still thought that entering in the Fifth Dimension was a bad idea, since anything could happen there, but since there was a possible crisis occurring there she couldn’t ignore it. As Zatanna conjured the magic words that would transport them both to the other dimension, she figured that that mission would sound safer if they were with other members of the League, but soon discarded the idea feeling that Zatanna’s magic powers would protect from whatever they would face.
The journey was, somehow, quick. In a blink they were in some sort of corridor, where the walls were white and there were doors with a small window in them.
“Where are we?” asked Diana, as looked the place around puzzled.
“I think this should be the Fifth Dimension…” said Zatanna, sounding confused, “Or, at least, a hospital located in the Fifth Dimension.”
“It better be…”
But before they could have a chance of examine the place around them more, a midget girl appeared from nowhere in their front, making the two react in surprise for a brief while. She was blonde and had a ponytail, and wore a nurse outfit. The girl smiled to them in a way that supposed to be warm-friendly, but in reality it emitted creepy vibes on them.
“Hello darlings, are you two the new admissions?” asked the midget nurse.
“Admissions? Oh uh, no, we are in the middle of mission nurse.” said Diana.
“Sure, sure darlings. Come with me, please. I’ll help you both.”
Diana and Zatanna looked at each other, and shrugged. They were lost in a place that they hardly knew about, and if that was some sort of trap, they were confident they would get away of it. So they followed the midget nurse, until they arrive in a room where there dozen of midget men wearing white uniforms and floating in the air as played cards.
“Gentlemen, our new arrivals are here. Be sure to treat them nicely.” said the nurse.
“Wait, what do you mean with this?” asked Zatanna, suddenly sounding startled.
“Well, aren’t you here to be admitted in your asylum?”
“Wait now. We didn’t come to be admitted, we are investigating a serious crisis that is happening in your dimension.” said Diana.
The nurse gave a worried look at Diana and said, “I know dear, being serious and straight is a burden, but here in Loony Bin we make sure our patients will be healthy and happy, without having to worry with things like sanity and seriousness!”
“That isn’t what I meant! We are here in an important mission!” shouted Diana.
At that moment, two straitjackets materialized in front of Diana and Zatanna, and next Diana felt her tiara and lasso being removed from her and Zatanna felt her top hat and her black magician suit fly away from her body. They look around and saw their accessories floating in the air nearby to the orderlies, who smiled at them just like the nurse had smiled them to earlier.
“Don’t worry ladies, once a period in Loony Bin you don’t need to worry with anything anymore.”
Diana and Zatanna stretched their arms to grab their things back, but then they were suddenly lifted upside down in the air.
“Hey!”
“Now now, no need to be angry.” said the nurse calmly.
“Nurse, please, listen to me! We didn’t come to be patients, really!” yelled Diana.
But the nurse and the orderlies only limited to say they didn’t need to worry and everything would be alright, while Diana’s boots and Zatanna’s high heels were taken off their feet and next they were inserted into those tight straitjackets and had their ankles restrained, and then escorted to a padded cell where minutes later they would be tickle-tortured by a swarm of feathers. They first started with their feet and necks, then followed to get inside the straitjackets and tickle their armpits, next their torso, then their navel and finally their midriffs. Currently, the feathers took turns to tickle again the previous spots: Diana felt an inconvenient feather rubbing on her navel while Zatanna had her two armpits tickled at the same time. They rolled around in the cell and burst into uncontrollable laughs and squirmed desperately in their bonds.
“Ahahahahahahahaha ohohohohohohohohohoho, this is ridiculous!” yelled Diana laughing.
“Ahahahahahahaha and I never thought that tickling could be so unbearable!” yelled Zatanna.
And thus the two heroines laughed madly and squirmed for hours, until they started to lose breath. The feathers, as if they could sense that, left their bodies and disappeared. Diana and Zatanna remained stirred in the floor of the cell, still giggling like crazy. The only thing that could do now was that, and hope was that League found them before they were driven insane for real.
