Trust in trading

Hi all,

I wouldn't normally post something like this, but I'm a little pissed about it and I just wanted to "vent". I've been trading videos with members of this group for a little while now (most notably Nontkl) and have had no problems until recently.

I guess I should have been more aware that it was this person's first or second post to the forum and he/she was requesting videos. Of course now, I have yet to see another post from this person in any forum.

I don't know if I'm out of line for disclosing the username, but I'm gonna do it anyway... beware of trading with YouthGoneWild00. I gave up a couple of videos and have been waiting over a month for the return. This person has confirmed they received the videos then I've never heard from them again. I've emailed him a few times asking about my tape and they've gone unanswered.

I just think this forum has been great for the TK community...whether you're a lurker or are an active member this forum has been great.

Now I know I'm not the first to get shafted on a trade and I won't be the last but I just wanted to share my frustration.

Moderators: If my post is "out of line", I apologize. I just wanted to give members a heads up on trusting the people you trade with.

I feel your anger and frustration Pips; i lost nearly my entire tickle vid collection to a bad trader about 2 years ago. Online trade deals are a real crapshoot and i would encourage anyone engaging in them to proceed with extreme caution.

It may not be worth the money, but you can use a bank or something like that to trade. That way, the tape won't be given to trader one, until he hands the tape to the group sending it. That way you can't get shafted. I am not 100% certain they would do this, but I know for a fact that for a small charge they will do it for selling titles on homes and cars for money...

O well, either way, I hope you get this problem fixed. And I am truly sorry!

i feel for you. that's never happened to me. I've traded many times, and had no problems. It all depends on trust. At first, I didn't trust the guy I was trading with, so I asked if he would send his first (he did), then I sent mine. It took a couple days to send mine, but I emailed him many times to let him know it was on the way.

that's pretty much been my way. I KNOW I can trust myself, and I won't shaft anyone, so I try to get the other guy to send his first. Of course, this can't work all the time. you can never be sure. Some people are just really trusting (one guy even sent me another (different) video because I told him the one he sent didn't work.

It's a gamble.

Most of the time there shouldn't be a problem. But there is always the occurance when a deal will go sour and you have to write off your losses. Oh well, I just hope that it doesn't happen to the folks here.

actually i have had a few problems with this, it is a crapshoot

This YouthGoneWild sounds more like a youth who's gone and taken a powder with someone's tapes. It is unfortunate that the internet serves as an incubation chamber for bottom feeding scum.
I had sent a tape of my original material out to a TMF member(this person hasn't posted in nearly a year). This was NOT a trade, it was a gift. There was nothing in it for me. This slimeball didn't even have the common courtesy to send a Thank You mail.
I will say this: We need not sweat the Youths Gone Wild or any of these other bottom feeders. In time these bogarts will have to deal with the consequences of there actions.
