Now read through the above sentence counting aloud the "F"s as you find them (1...2...etc). Count them ONLY ONCE:

There are six F's in the sentence. One of average intelligence finds three of them.
If you spotted four, you're above average.
If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody.
If you caught six, you are a genius.
There is no catch. Many people forget the "OF"'s. The human brain tends to see them as V's and not F's.

I got all six, but before I knew what I was supposed to look for, I was paying very close attention to the sentence to make sure it wasn't that one that has two "the's" in it. That one always used to trick me. I guess I was just on the lookout.

I spotted all six F's, but I didn't read the sentence aloud, just in my head, going from left to right slowly to catch them. Perhaps if I had read it out loud, it would've made a difference. I don't know if I'm a genius, but I do think I'm rather clever. 😀

Okay, last time I got tested in my Mensa entrance test they said I had an IQ of about 180something. I saw 2 F's in that smegging test. That's it then! I'm going senile!
