Thus, with Ross's new calming medication, Ross's Doctor allowed Ross to take a one to two day trip to Toronto, as long as there was a nurse on call.
On a Monday morning, as the whole situation with Barry was being slowly organized and planned, Ross kissed Kayley goodbye, and went on an early plane to Toronto to meet Jim.
If Ross's health allowed, and business was needed, Ross intended to stay from either Monday morning, to Tuesday night, or Wednesday night.
Ross landed in Toronto, and took an Uber to the office to meet Jim.
"Ross, so good to see you again. I'm thrilled that you were able to come up to have this meeting" Jim said.
"I am as well, Jim. Looking forward to productive discussions with you" Ross said.
Ross and Jim spent that morning, discussing potential ways to put together deals on energy sources, both for investor deals, as well as hopefully commercial deals.
Ross and Jim went out to lunch. When they got back to the office, the men called Fritz and Steve in OKC and had a conference call.
"Gentlemen so excellent to talk to you both " Jim said.
"Jim, Ross, Fritz and I are all ears. What's on your mind. How do you propose that we help each other, and hopefully what will become our very productive new company?" Steve said.
"Steve, I was telling Ross. I think that the first thing to do, is to examine the sources that will and would become what the new company will have as far as resources, oil, gas, price situation, and so on. Then, we would have to decide how to put it forth to either investors, and or commerical sources" Jim said,
"Jim, basically, Steve, Fritz and I have had so much experience with putting together deals with investors, it is almost routine and repetitive to us by now. However, such can also be a very cumbersome, slow process. If you or someone you know would have a way to get the new RFS Canada off the ground with say, for example, even small to medium sized commercial sources, maybe we should try that, as a different. "Approach" from what RFS OKC has done all these years. Is that okay with all of you?" Ross asked.
Steve laughed. "He's not working at RossShell anymore, his name is only on the door there, and he mostly works with us, and yet, the "creative mind" of Ross C ,. still thinks of something that might be the best approach" Steve said.
"Ross, I will tell you what. When we are finished with our time up here, and you go back to New York, how about all of us prepare proposals, to "Throw everything out into the open, and narrow it down. Then, we fine tune everything, and come up with a specific plan" Jim suggested.
"I love what I hear, and I agree wholeheartedly. Fritz, Steve?" Ross asked.
"Just fine" Fritz said.,
"Sounds good to me" Steve said.
The rest of that day was spent in a meeting with Ross and Jim regarding discussion about how to approach everything.
After that, Ross and Jim went out to dinner, said goodnight, and Ross took an Uber back to his hotel.
When Ross got back to the hotel , he rang the VP
"VP, how are you this evening, Madam?" Ross asked.
"Oh, fine, how is the Energy Boy who is across the border?" Kayley asked.
"We had a very good day, Jim and I had discussions about how to deal with what will become RFS Canada, and after that we had a conference call with Fritz and Steve., All four of us decided that we are going to write down our own thoughts, openly share them with each other, and then narrow down how we want to do this" Ross said.
"When does Canadian oil boy think he will be home?" Kayley asked.
"Tomorrow night. I want to have one more discussion with Ross, Fritz, and Jim. I will get a plane out of here, and then will come back up as needed" Ross said.
"Okay,. Sounds good. Please just text me your flight" Kayley said.
"We will do, VP , have a good night, Mam" Ross said.
"You too" Kayley said.
The next morning, Ross checked out of the hotel, went to the office, had a light breakfast with Jim, and then the men read over email ideas, and did another conference call between Fritz, Steve, Jim, and Ross.
As the afternoon wore on, great progress was being made.
Ross and Jim agreed that Ross could go home, and that everyone would keep in touch.
Ross went to Toronto Airport, and made a 3 pm flight to JFK.
Ross was starting to feel tired, but there was nothing to suggest that anything was wrong.
Ross landed at JFK at 430,.
With traffic, Ross got home at 530.
As Ross went upstairs, he was growing more tired.
As Ross unlocked the door, Kayley was there to meet him.
Kayley kissed Ross, as he kicked off his shoes, and just tried to catch his breath.
Ross started to feel that his body was telling him that something was wrong.
Yet, Ross just felt it was fatigue, and did not want to worry Kayley , both for Kayley, and for himself.
Suddenly, as Ross picked up his iced teas, his hands started shaking uncontrollably, and the iced tea went all over the floor!
Kayley was hysterical! She picked up her cell phone, and called Doctor B's office, Ross's boutique internist, for now.
"This is Kayley C. My husband is not at all well. He just came home from a brief business trip, and he is shaking badly. I would appreciate it if your office could send someone over to our apartment ASAP!" Kayley said.
"Of course, Kayley, someone will be here right away" The voice on the other end said.
Within fifteen minutes, the doorbell rang, and a nurse was inside the apartment.
"Ross, I'm here to help you. Please tell me what is wrong? What symptoms are you having?" The nurse asked.
Just what was wrong with Ross? Why did he come home with the "Uncontrollable Shakes" As Ross liked to refer to them as, after such an apparently productive trip with Jim, Fritz, and Steve while Ross was in Toronto?
