Today is the second day in a row that the New York Stock Exchange has been closed because of the weather. If you can't remember the last time that happened, it is not because of your poor memory.
The last time that happened was because of the "Great Blizzard of '88" which was actually in 1888.
Below are some photos taken in Connecticut and Brooklyn on March 13, 1888. New York City got 40 inches of snow, but high winds created drifts up to 30 feet high.
