Two extreme attitudes about tickling?

Do you think that some people tend to hold very extreme attitudes about tickling? Like, on one end, you have people who refuse to believe that one can seriously hate being tickled - and that even those who say that hate being tickled would eventually come to love it, if they just gave tickling a chance. Then, on the other extreme, you have others who believe that nobody seriously enjoys being tickled - and that those who say they enjoy it are masochistic. I guess the former tends to view tickling as total pleasure, while the latter tends to view tickling as total torture. Anyway, what are your thought? Do you know anyone who holds either view?

Well in my opinion its all about power exchange and dominance. Those who hate being tickled honestly hate it. I think that goes without saying. Especially if the tickling is applied in a purely sadistic fashion. Most people do not like being truley at the mercy of another. If a person is being dominated while unwanted, uncontrollable sensations are flowing through their body, its not exactly fun for them. I'm not talking a playful poke in the ribs, I mean honest tickling.

Of course, masochists will enjoy this immensely. Its their turn on. Allowing themselves to be controlled and at the mercy of another. Its all about the loss of control.

Now can somebody who hates tickling, and is not a sub, be forced / convinced to enjoy it. This has no true answer because its highly relative to the individuals involved. A lee could find out through some playful tickling that she enjoys it, maybe a little romance thrown in there to liven things up. Likewise a person with bad memories of childhood tickling could be turned around by the right ler.

Ultimately, IMO, it is safe to deal absolutes here. Either you like it or you don't in most situations.

I think it is fairly common for some people who love being tickled to have, at one time, hated it. Maybe some have agreed to let others tickle him/her in a bet - or maybe if they were bribed into it.

It depends on the circumstances and the people involved. For instance, my 'lee loves being tickled by attractive women in general but would not care to be tickled by someone he didn't get along with.

Do you think it is pretty common for people to like being tickled just about anywhere except on the soles of their feet - because the soles of the feet are just way too ticklish? How much percentage of the people with extremely ticklish soles would like being tickled there to various degrees, would you say? Do you think a lot of people dislike having the soles of their feet tickled more than any other part of their body?

I tend to think that most people as ticklish on their soles as I am would hate to have them tickled. Especially while bound! But, there's two caveats to that thinking: Some just as ticklish as me really DO love just that(God knows how), and, as much as I hate being made to spaz-out(which I inevitably do when my feet are touched in the least), I've allowed for situations where I've been bound and helpless to avoid it.
It can be a perplexing fetish/hobby/whatever, this tickling-thing... :umm:

I do tend to wonder how many, if they just gave a chance, would realize that they don't completely hate having the soles of their feet tickled. After all, I can imagine that tickling the soles of the feet would be a quick way of producing an endorphin high.
