Tyra Banks will be talking about the tickling fetish on her talk show soon

I'm sure it'll be yet another disaster as it always is.

Shows like that, or Stern, treat it as a sick joke for ratings. They'll get some tripe like Yaqi to represent us all, good god. Give out tons of misinformation. Or worse yet- one of the many tickling video producers here with their poor materials. That would really top it off. Make everyone think we all act like that. This would be the worst and most shallow representation we could have. Then the Hollywood version of 'fetish' will be placed upon it and all done in a shallow and comical manner, undermining what people who are really into this are doing realtime. I've seen that done on CSI when the covered a BDSM aspect. They really poured on the stereotyping. It was very upsetting as they portrayed the women in bdsm to be no better than hookers looking for some 'Johns'. Today's current trend of tickle vids do the same for females.

This brings up a point mentioned in another post long ago. I'll never understand why ticklers always want it so 'out in the public' anyway. Why they need to hear or see a celebrity say that they like it. Or see it mentioned on news or something. Isn't it enough that you yourself like it? Why does anyone need to justify it through public means? Why not just keep it private and to ourselves as it belongs? It's like some say "See! See! Tyra likes it too- so I must be okay!" in order to make themselves feel less insecure.

If you like tickling, just deal with it. Don't worry about justifying your desires. Some people like honey on hotdogs and they don't suffer from insecurity complexes- just upset tummys.
 
lol, nope he's real, and he's on this forum as well. Dannigirl, you might want to take that into account and not call him a tripe.

on Dannigirl's point, i do somewhat agree about not having to have the fetish out there. however, i disagree about yaqi and how he shouldn't be used to reperesent us. i believe that all tickle fetishists here should be proud of yaqi for being able to illuminate our fetish to the "normal" world.
 
This will be intersting. I also disagree about Yaqi but to each his or her own.

Do any of you remember that Tyra did a bit with Quentin Tarentino and his foot fetish?

If you missed it....basically...they mocked him with three women, faces covered, and they showed him thier feet and he had to judge them.

It was light hearted and fun, but they were clearly making fun of it all.

I hope this is different.

Yeah I thought Yaqui was good he was the first person who introduced me to this world I was about 13 years old when I saw his page and was immediately intrigued I couldn't walk away I had to read more and more. Then I wondered what it was all about and began my research it took me years to figure it all out.
 
I like Tyra banks. I think she will have fun with it, but that isn't necessarily joking it.

I just hope somebody talks about how the tickling fetish can be incorporated into a couples' love life. I hope they don't just talk about tickling companies and what not.

You have some good points. I think guys want to hear Tyra say she likes it because that gives them hope that they can meet a girl that likes it. Also, if Tyra says she likes it on her show, then maybe that will help more women admit that they like it, which would mean more men could be more open about it to women.

I think Stern is garbage. I don't think Tyra will sink to his level, but she probably won't be super serious about it either. She is just a funny, crazy girl haha.

You can probably find the vid on you tube or google. He just makes a mockery of it and makes it out to be a big joke.
 
But, the funny thing is he obviously has a bondage/foot/tickling fetish.

I have had the same thoughts many times. I think deep down he really enjoys it like we do.
 
He makes fun of almost all fetishes (spanking etc..). He is pretty bad for our community, making us look weird and deviant.
 
yeah, we're always portrayed badly on the media. anyone remember the news reports of the nude dude who'd break into elderly women's houses just to tickle their feet?

i'd say at least 80% of us are regular people who like tickling for fun, and also as a form of foreplay. just your average joe's with special lusts.

To be honest, things could take a turn for the worst.
But I don't think that'll happen. My guess is that after the show a
few people may be enlightened and no longer view us as
freaks, but it's gonna take more than just Tyra to get us to be accepted en mass.

I don't mind the secrecy anyway. I say we should slowly work our way into the television networks. Then we'll be able to see as many mainstream clips we want. 😀

I think dont think its the fetish that is most often times mocked...its the people that have the fetish that are mocked. Huge difference.

I thought the Tarantino segment was light hearted and fun. he wasnt "surprised" by it; he knew before coming on, more than likely. No one was saying "Ewww, gross...he likes feet."

And just because someone goes on a TV show, they dont have to be the FACE of the fetish. If I was on tv, even if the show was about people the like myself, who have a foot fetish, I hope no one thinks Im gonna be the fucking ambassador. If the other 65,000 members of an internet community are that concerned about how they look because of MY appearance on a TV show, then they need to:

get off their collective asses and start doing the tv circuit, and

start re evaluating their lives and what IS important versus what they think is important.

Im gonna be myself, and let it be that. Of course, everyone I know knows about my foot fetish...I really dont fucking care what people think of me. I dont advertise it, but its known...my family knows my wife knows, my friends know...I dont lose any sleep over it. And when a girl tells me they think its weird (one of my best friends tells me all the time Im weird) I laugh it off. Your fetish should be a part of you, not be you.
