Well......

I have just watched the special Tyra show....and here's MY opinion. I believe Tom and Tasha were extremely professional and came across as two very open, honest and sincere people. They explained their fetish and did no harm to our community.

With that being said, the show as a whole, was quite tame...and maybe a tad bit disappointing. At one point they actually invited people on stage to get tickled..and I thought...Oooh..this could be good...but it was very tame and mild.

If you are going to watch the show to see some good tickle action....this is your warning.....it's just not that kinda show.

If you watch the show to see how Tickle Abuse represents our community, then you'll be happy.

I believe they kept it tame so it would not scare any of the audience. Some people had bad experiences with tickling like my co-worker. She's 36 old and done a lot of kinky stuff; but, you can not pay her to allow anyone to tickle her feet. She said it feel like she is being tortured; this coming from someone that allow people to hit her with whips 😕

Go Figure.

I thought the show came off fairly well. Tommy and Tasha's segment was well done and just showed the common day everyday person some of what the fetish was about..i would have liked more details , or the segment to have been longer but i realize there were more guests to get too. The audience participation tickling was cute. If tyra would have used the word freak one more time during the show though i believe she might have broken a record of some sort..lol

Wow. Very cool. Didn't have any expectations, but I realized I pretty much had a smile on my face during the entire segment. I really like how the theme was "How freaky are WE" Props to Thomas & Tasha.

Something intriguing I think worth mentioning is how curious Tyra started to get during the discussion. Not that I think she's closeted or whatever, but I think it speaks to how open "vanilla" people can be to tickling when it's presented in a non-creepy way. In the end, it's really not that big a deal to them usually.

Once again, I think a lot of credit goes to TA along with the other guests. No matter how open you are, it still had to take some courage to sit there with so many strange expressions looking back at you!

Also, I'm glad to hear that the show wasn't judgemental. I know Tommy said it went well, but I've read stories about how shows will re cut interviews (kinda like that Ben Stein documentary!) so I was seriously worried.

I watched the episode with my boyfriend, breath held, fingers crossed.

Tommy and Tasha, you did it beautifully - thank you. I was very worried that the tickling community would be portrayed as something freakish and taboo. You all definitely showed how it's not something that's purely sexual, it's also fun and exhilerating, intimate and special.

The only thing I was disappointed with was Tyra's reaction and some of the rather ignorant things she said. She acted as if the whole thing was entirely unnatural. But you both handled her uneducated (and sometimes ridiculous) questions with ease. For example, thank you for saying it isn't necessarily about tickling the "no-no" areas, and more about the foreplay aspect.

Anyway. I'm extremely relieved and I'm feeling more confident than ever about being open about my sexual preferences.
