Ugliest Color Tie You've Ever Seen..?

Everyone on here knows that I'm rarely.. rude. I apologize in advance if this is an offensive thread, and, if it violates any rule, I understand it will be taken down. However..

I had to ask.. what is the ugiliest color tie that forum members have personally ever seen?

As I've posted before, my newscast of choice since I'm here is WABC TV. Their 6pm anchor, and co anchor of the lovely Ms Liz Cho, is a very classy gentleman, Bill Ritter. Mr Ritter seems to be a very fine newscaster.

Tonight, as I was watching the 6pm news, I noticed that Mr Ritter was wearing a color tie that I've never seen before, and that I personally thought was .. hideous.

Ritter's choice of tie color tonight was.. Tangerine.. I was watching this newscaster who I've grown to like, and who I will probably watch if I leave Lancaster, move back to NY, and cant watch Jim Gardner anymore, and was like "Bill, you're a good newscaster, and seem like a nice guy, but seriously, lose the tie! "

Anyhow, so thats the thread.

Other thoughts on.. color ties that you were not fond of?

I generally think that salmon-pink colour is just disgusting, especially on ties.

Rusty orange.
A beige tie would be something that I'd light someone on fire over, as well.

That yellowy green I think it is pea green. I've never liked that color.

I think it's funny you think a thread entitled "Ugliest Color Tie" would be deleted for violating a rule... think about it, hahah.

I think anything can go with anything if you wear it right.

Bright orange. Roughly the color of a traffic cone. (Seen on a man in Grand Central Terminal buying a ticket on MetroNorth.)

Thanks for the replies, guys. I definitely agree that some of the color ties that people thought were "ugly" are ones I would think ugly too.

Rusty, I see your point, and maybe I'm being overly.. sensitive. It's just, I really wondered if my thread was rude, and didnt want to offend. I'm glad it isnt. I guess in reality, an "ugly" color tie, is really subject to opinion.

As the "GQguy" I think it all depends on the rest of the outfit. I was in the south the other day for a wedding and noticed that many of the men were wearing seersucker suits with neon colored be ties. In my opinion only Andre 3000 can pull off a hotpink bowtie.

I wanted to bump this thread to post again.

In my opinion, someone needs to get Bill Ritter a tie fashion designer. I've been watching him most night, and last night, he showed up in an extremely light.. baby blue tie. Uh, not my cup of tea.

No offense to anyone who might have that color tie.. but.. I think that Ritter should seriously get himself some new ties.

Mr Ritter was wearing his tangerine tie during the 6pm news tonight. After getting a second look at it, I dislike it even more. Ick!

I wanted to bump this thread. I saw another tie the other night that I think looks hideous.

Weather Channel evening forecaster Paul Goodloe, on Monday night, I believe, was wearing a bright gold tie. Ugh! I definitely am not partial to that color tie at all!
