Hello fellow British ticklephiles!
The Tickle Brits community is proud to announce details of its next UK gathering. As some of you may know there have been a number of gatherings in the UK over the last 12 months in a dungeon in Sheffield. These have been very successful indeed and have been an absolute pleasure to both hold and attend. However the one problem with this location is that it's a little limited in terms of equipment and, critically, space. About six months ago we made a decision to try and locate a suitable alternative location and, finally, we think we've found the perfect place.
We have recently found a larger and better equipped venue at which to hold our Gatherings. We have three floors of delight, one for socialising and relaxing after a session, another for private sessions, which can be arranged with the organiser prior to the event, and one full of equipment for you to use. The venue is 600m from the nearest train station and near one of the largest rail hubs in the country, Birmingham. For those of you with your own vehicular transport, parking is available outside the building and on the street nearby. It is also not far from the nearest motorway junction and there's several choices of affordable accommodation close by.
With regards to the equipment, there is a rack, A-frame, a vac-bed, arched bench, spanking bench (you don't have to use it for that, that's just it's name), two beds, and lots and lots of tie off points for standing tickling. There may also be stocks kindly provided by the lovely totally_evil.
The timing is yet to be confirmed, but there is currently a poll running on the Tickle Brits forum with results to this point indicating a likely date in late June-August. We'll keep you updated as to exact dates. Also, for those of you worried about losing the more intimate atmosphere of smaller gatherings - don't worry, we're still planning on holding events for smaller number of people as well, this gathering and location is meant to add to what we already have, not replace it.
The Gathering Rules will be posted soon on tickle brits and it is strongly suggested that you read through them.
There will be House Ticklers (female) available during the event, and time slots will be available for booking at the beginning of the event. It may also be possible to arrange male House Ticklers if you so wish, but please contact the organiser beforehand to arrange this.
If you want to come to the Gathering there's a fairly simple procedure to follow. Firstly, this is a Tickle Brits event so you'll need to be registered on the forum. Once you've created an account you should PM Alphano on the Tickle Brits forum (his TMF screen name is "mindmindmind" but priority will be given to those who PM him through Tickle Brits) with the word "Gathering" in the title of your PM. You should also include an email address which can be used to contact you, your gender, whether you are a lee or a ler (if you are a switch, please indicate so and state your preference for one or the other if you have one), your preferences regarding the gender of your lees/lers (m/f, f/f, f/m, m/m), your preferences regarding one ler or multiple and any other issues or preferences you may have. This is to help those organising the event to get a feel for what you like and to try and setup a gathering that gives everyone what they want. If you wish to ask questions of the organiser in a more private manner, please feel free to PM. If you wish to speak to a female member of the organising team, please contact Kat or MorningAngel via PM. N.B. contacting these members of the team DOES NOT get you a place on the list, they are simply there to offer help and guidance.
Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, however, a balance between lers, lees and males and females will be maintained to the best of the organiser's ability. Those who make it onto the final list will be contacted and given further details of the Gathering once the list has been finalised. Anyone not on the final list will be kept on a reserve list and contacted should there be any cancellations or should space otherwise become available. The Gathering costs £20 to attend, and this includes the dungeon rental as well as snacks.
If you have any questions that you don't mind posting in public there is a post available on the Tickle Brits forum for general discussion of this gathering or please feel free to post in this thread (although answers may be a bit slower in coming to posts made here). As always with events organisied through the Tickle Brits community the emphasis is on having fun and enjoying yourself while getting to both meet other tickle fans and play in a safe, secure environment and we'd love to see you there.
