I'm not sure this is the right forum for these questions; feel free to move it if needed.

I've tried several times to download clips from Uploading.com, but it hasn't worked.; every time, it ends up with a "Address Not Found" message. So, two questions:

Who else has had this problem, and have you found out why?

Why do people use Uploading.com if others can't get to it?

Here's one theory from someone at another forum at which use of uploading.com was banned at least for awhile earlier this year, I'm not sure if it's still banned there or not:

it´s pretty obvious why uploaders prefer uploading.com and uploaded.to... they earn money with their uploads instead of getting premium points at rapidshare in charge ... they don´t care if those hosts offer good rates or stable services... please get rid of these guys... i´d rather donate to a good forum with clean links than surfing this spammy sh*t...

So apparently, in a word, it's greed on the part of those "generously" sharing their files. I've personally found the service quirky. I've managed to download files from it at times, other times I've had all kinds or problems with it. I think that's been the experience of most people who've tried to download files there, which I assume was why this particular forum banned it. The above quote is from just one post in a somewhat lengthy thread discussing the problem, which I'd rather not post a link to publicly here, but I can PM it to you if you're interested.
