Since there are not so many members that come from SE Asia region (especially Indonesia), I guess it won't hurt if I make the "first move" for sharing some information that might be interesting 🙂.
Like the title said, it has been commonly believed in my country that vegetable (herb) called kemangi (lemon basil) could make your body odor smells good, although it hasn’t been proven scientifically because the effect couldn’t be noticed in an instant.
The question here is:
Had you had a chance (or had you known about this earlier), which would have been your choice after all?
A. The herb; through a long term consumption, you will (might) have a PERMANENTLY fresh body odor in the future and it has no side effects.
B. Deodorant; it will gives you a temporary fresh body odor, the effect is instant, but has some side effects in the future (I’ve read somewhere that deodorant can leads to a breast cancer).
