We should be on time with the first issue. I just finished an exam on Thursday night so I'm back to work. All that's left is to finish the color on page 10 and wrap up the word balloons, so we should be on time. As for another tease...as a friend of of mine says; It doesn't hurt to want!

Another question. Will the issues after number 1 be available each month? In other words, how often will the other issues be available?

We don't want there to be a wait between issues. We both have backgrounds in the entertainment field; FTKL's being in art and the stage, mine in commercial art and 7 years at DC comics. We both work well under pressure and are used to deadlines. Right now we don't see any problems with turning this book out on a monthly basis, or every 30 days.

Just had to comment, BZ, once I read that you used to work for DC Comics. If I remember correctly, I saw a cartoon of a guy tickling a woman's shoeless foot in a park setting that you did a few years ago. I thought to myself, "That art looks so familiar..." Anyhow, I think it's terrific to have a pro around from one of my favorite childhood comic companies, and I look forward to Vellicatrices Unlimited eagerly!

Thanks for the nice words smiley, but the park bench piece is from a guy named Alazar. It isn't me.
Outside of working on this project, and a few things for an independant, I'm pretty much out of the mainstream comics business. I'm really working towards a "real" job in Real Estate Appraisal.
Just to let you and other viewers know, the first issue is completely finished and ready to go. We've made the deadline with about a week to spare. I'm sure everyone will find something of interest in the series. FTKL and I have also talked about branching out into some other areas of foot abuse as well.

It should be a fun ride.

I seriously doubt it Hootus. Outside of do a simple print run from the computer printer I don't see much of a chance. Doing a full color comic is tricky. Most printing companies that can handle it need a decent print run total to take the job on, otherwise it isn't profitable. Most large comic companies will usually cancel a book when sales drop to the 30-40 thousand mark. For a project like this we'd need to print at least 10 thousand to break even. As popular as the project seems to be, I can't see us selling 10 thousand copies.
